This movie only reminded me just how good the Mission Impossible series is. There is such a HUGE difference when a team goes about trying to capture as much action in camera practically as opposed to relying on CGI. Heart of Stone looked more like a cartoon version (with a lame script) of M:I-7.

I'm saying, Gal is basically superhuman in this film with the feats she pulls off in seconds at a time with no rest, no challenges Meanwhile Ilsa can take hits and licks being hurt, bit she can still kick butt realistically using the opponents momentum against them using her legs...the strongest parts of the female muscles they can use to counter men

I actually enjoyed this. Though the action always felt weird. I didn’t see the twist coming early on. But it was one of those ones where it actually made more sense in hindsight with with more of the pieces present. Motivations made sense the back half did drag though along with some rather idiotic character choices (like if the heart controls tech why on earth go underground and not in the middle of the woods somewhere). Still though other character choices made a lot of sense and I felt myself going oh yeah they would react that way. I though the movie pulled itself to slightly above average even if it had some (from a writing standpoint) genuinely good moments.

If there's one thing that this film has shown me it's that Netflix clearly puts no amount of money into their marketing division. I did not even know this movie was coming out this week.😅 As a marketing student they have to hire me quick because there are good things on Netflix that don't get pushed at all (All Quiet on the Western Front) and there are not so good things (Heart of Stone) that also don't get pushed out for people to know about.

Extraction 2 was underwhelming to me. At least a bit anticlimactic and the story wasn't really all that deep. Just kind of flat. HOS wasn't Netflix's best, but not bad. Gray Man was better, as I enjoyed the down-to-earthness between the characters and Gosling's realness (cool action scenes too and the train scene was awesome). Extraction 1 was cool, but to this day I don't get why people loved it so much. The one chase scene was great, but overall I find it unrealistic how the main character survives after having been shot and losing so much blood in the end. Also, a pretty simple story, and nothing that was deep. Just a reason to follow the characters on a rescue mission. Another reason why I wasn't a big fan of all the Wick movies. No true depth or substance, besides revenge and "consequences". Fallout remains one of my favorite Agent/action movies in the last 5 years (story was great, and real stunts).

Reminds me of The Grey Man. I was so excited when they announced the actors and the directors. Chris, Ryan, and Ana are the hottest stars and the Russo Bros directed some of my favorite MCU movies. That movie was so cringe, tacky, and cheesy that people rather see Ryan Gosling playing a plastic man doll. 😂 Such a wasted opportunity with these BS Netflix action movies. And don’t get me started on the Red Notice…

I don't fully agree with your review, although, you make valid points, and I think I understand your points of view. I agree, it's not a great film, but it's fine for a group/family movie night. The action (And I felt the same way about MI7 Pt 1) was a bit much, so, yes, it could have done with less action, and more chsracter development. But imo, it compares favorably to MI7, where the action just went on and on, for far far tooo long. They could have cut an hour out of that film and lost nothing. This one does not do that to us. I guess, despite it's obvious flaws, I just liked it better than you did. Enjoyed your review~made me think, and that's alwats a good thing. Thank you.

It must just be you man. I was totally invested in this movie from the beginning but then I like all the actors/actresses cast in this movie, and liked watching all their characters from the beginning. I loved the action scenes and twists. Of course I didn't like the CGI and the movie appeared a bit grainy, but the story line for me was great. There has to be something there for it to be the most watched movie 'GLOBALLY' on Netflix for two weeks running. I don't know what the critics are being so hard on it. Can they not stand something being successful from the audience point of view. When I read some of the Critic reviews I don't even think they have watched the same movie that I watched. You know what movie the critics are going to like... just pick the worst movie out this year and that'll be it.

Another movie with hidden propaganda , "Men like you, Parker" an ending dialogue which is very sexist and done on purpose. no important roles were given to males other than the villain part. And I'm happy it failed cuz I'm sick with propaganda given more importance than the story.
@117Derek
@117Derek Жыл бұрын
I disagree with everything you said in your review-except that this film was meant to be a Mission Impossible rip-off. That’s correct. However, you dwell on about lack of character development, which IMO is not unusual in Action Films. The story is far LESS convoluted than Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Pt.1; so I’m not sure why you knock “Heart of Stone” on that measure. Regarding the CGI, I’m guessing that unlike the $300 MILLION that Amazon gave to the Russo Brothers for their disaster “Citadel” that “Heart of Stone” was working on a tighter budget than Mission Impossible. So, there’s that. Regarding the performances, again: this is an action film, and the “performance” is whether they can perform the physicality required-which all of the actors do in this film. Bottom line: you mention how much you liked “Extraction 2”-which is a film I HATE with a passion-so I guess we have dramatically different POV, which is OK. My recommendation to folks is: watch “Heart of Stone” for the non-demanding “fun” it is meant to be. You, like me, may enjoy it.

@3:00 min mark EXACTLY RIGHT... There should have been a movie before this where she's embedded in MI6 And using the heart to help stop baddies as she pretends to be a hacker and they almost figure her out a few times as a running gag, but don't they win and she's still a hacker and there is no betrayal yet ... Then part 2 should start right at the betrayal in the first 10 mins and stealing the heart..

The writing wasn't great, too many questions.... So they get a bug into the quantum computer and have it lower the airship it's flying in so they can fly up to 40,000 feet in a helicopter and get it. Why didn't they just have the computer email them instructions on how to build it? It's just a small round device. It isn't an infinity stone. How did they get the schematics on the exact machine that interfaces with the computer and connects it to the data center? How could someone invent a quantum computer and never built another? Why didn't the bad guys just find the techs who invented the computer? Why is it a hand held cylinder and not in an actual computer? The entire movie has weird plot holes like this. Also the ending fight scene looked like it was from a 1940s sci-fi movie.

It’s just a sit back and enjoy kind of action movie. Just take a chill pill and enjoy the movie without trying to complex a simple plot.

Gal was great in this movie.. i enjoyed watching this one.. i thought I saw mix from all great movies.. this is a Netflix movie, so I did not expect a production like MI.. so it is okay for a Netflix movie..

absolutely dismal movie with bad acting x10 but mostly just bad writing. novice supergenius hackers that are also experts at high altitude wing suit flying, gun play, and mostly just looking like pathetic runway models that can't even run without looking like toddlers.

Austin this makes me feel depressed because Gal may not have another chance at Wonder Woman in the future and James Gunn is making DC fans like me trying to make us hate him, I'm praying and hoping Gal doesn't end up like Henry

Gal is a terrible actress. I hope to God she doesn't get to keep playing Wonder Woman.

Mission Impossible comparison to Heart of Stone sky diving: real/Tom Cruise- fake/CGI-not Gail Moto Bike real/Tom Cruise fake/cgi-not Gail running, shooting.fighting: real/Tom cruise fake cgi-not Gail the tech in Heart of Stone was utterly stupid, LCD screen data appear out of thin air and are right in front of her face magically, smh. Even the "Heart AI" is a ripoff. A keyboard human rights activist from Bollywood hardly constitutes a proper villain. Critics gave this movie a 33% and fans gave it a 62%. It is just not a very well-made and thought-out movie, can we be honest about that ...pretty please

I felt the movie was a result of poor scriptwriting and cinematography, and more than once it challenges the viewer's stupidity, just pushing you and literally asking "who's more stupid? Us for making the movie, or you for spending your time watching it?"

I’m starting to think KZfaq is secretly financing these awful action movies in order to draw more traffic to reviews like this 😂😂😂 This film was so horrendous even my friend who literally leaves the room when I watch *good* action movies, wanted to watch this sludge through to the end just to laugh at how bad it was at every turn.

it did the job of being an average action film. Oh boy was that twist obvious though if you even know anything about action movies.
