Townes Van Zandt - Solo Sessions Vol. 2 (1995)
Legendary singer songwriter Townes Van Zandt (1944 -1997) sings more of his classic songs in this second part of the show. These include "Two Girls", "Dollar Bill blues", "Goin' Down to Memphis", "Flying Shoes", "Catfish Song". Recorded at the public access studios on January 17, 1995. Townes battled addiction for much of his life which severely effected his health. His official cause of death was "natural cardiac arrhythmia". His popularity has continued increase well after his death and he is considered one best singer-songwriters to ever come out of Texas.

I have always said that great art comes from pain. Townes Van zandt is a prime example of this. He was an amazing artist.

There are so many people who have never heard of Towns Van Zandt. What a pity. I feel sorry of all the people who don't know about Towns and his life's story.

My favorite writer and storyteller through song. Yes at times painful. But when you need him and his songs, nothing else will do. “My songs aren’t so much sad as they are hopeless”- TVZ And it is in those hopeless songs that comfort and grounded real for what means something in this world occurs. Thank you Townes. You left alot more behind than you probably could ever know.

Townes Van Zandt died a young man but his life was not in vain, Townes his songs, his stories, his recording, and millions of great memories some of which are still made today by people who are finding this man's music and story, Yes Townes left all this behind, he will never be forgotten, yes Townes left a trail of tears and sad hearts behind. So thanks a trillion Townes for the man you were, the brilliant songs, the stories and the memories that you gave

Shout out to Franklin , I live 20 minutes outside of Nashville ,Robertson County and has a music lover I'm a lucky man. Born and raised in the same small town and have been in and out of Nashville a thousand times and everytime I go I see and /or hear something new something different both good and bad. The talent that you've never heard of is enormous and I consider the foundation of Nashville. Just a great City to visit or live in. If music is your business it can Crush you grind you up did you out or make all your dreams come true. Stream come and leave but most always come back. It's called hope and belief in what you're doing if you love it

@@commontater8630 Can you see HOW the phrase: "COMPARED TO" makes a distinction... And elicits a different meaning than a ABSOLUTE statement ? Look into it.
