Australia's BEST honeymoon destination 🥂 | HAYMAN ISLAND, WHITSUNDAYS | Intercontinental Luxury 4K

Romantic getaway at the Intercontinental Resort on Hayman Island, Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia - This vlog sums up the first part of our honeymoon which was our stay on the beautiful Hayman Island. We hope it shows why you too should consider this as your next destination for a cheeky luxury escape!
The Whitsundays are a group of 74 stunning tropical islands just off the northeastern Queensland coast, sitting at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Hayman is the most northern of all the Whitsunday islands, and as a private island it means that if you come here, you stay at the exclusive 5 star Intercontinental Resort.
It was our honeymoon, so we decided to treat ourselves! We arrived via a scenic boat trip from Hamilton Island, and were immediately treated to a golf buggy transfer, incredibly warm hospitality, and the feeling of having escaped to such a breathtaking secluded spot of the world.
As foodies, we got acquainted with their delicious dining options - Pacific Restaurant (modern Australian), Amici Trattoria (Italian), Bam Bam (Asian fusion bar) and Aqua (poolside bar). There is also the option for a private star-gazing degustation in a cabana if you book early enough. We sadly missed out, but have definitely pencilled this in for next time!
Other than eating, you can relax in style with an endless array of things to do such as their stylish pool options, fun water sports activities, hiking trails, and views topped off with that trademark Australian sunshine.
So, if you're considering an Aussie destination for a honeymoon, romantic getaway, luxury escape, anniversary, or perhaps even a wedding, we certainly recommend that Hayman Island ticks all your boxes + more!

Thankyou, the Whitsundays certainly have some of the best coastlines in our country, and Hayman Island was a great way for us to experience some of the best that Queensland had to offer - honeymoon style!

I had the exact same room as you guys but on the bottom it was bad though the so we moved rooms and while I was in my room a cockatoo came in and my parents were at the pool so I got freaked out bc I didn’t know if the cockatoo would hurt me but I called my parents and shooed the cockatoo out but the cockatoo pooped on the counter above the minibar and on the floor and broke all the sugar and ate it 😂 😂 😂

Wow! Yeah if you give those cockatoos an inch, they will take a mile so gotta be very careful with leaving anything open whatsoever! Was one of the first things we got told by staff when touching down in the Whitsundays! At least the bird didn't get that much more than the sugar lol

I use to work there for three years as assistant manager with accommodating on the Island? The best time of my life ? We could enjoy all the facilities during days off and all for free

How long was the boat trip to Hayman Island? And how long was the drive to get to the boat?

Hi Riyana, and thanks for your question! The boat trip was maybe... 45-60 mins each way. It flew by really quickly because of the views, unlimited drinks, comfort and nibbles that they provide. There was also no drive from Hamilton Island airport to where the boat departs for Hayman Island, it's all right there in walking distance, very close - in fact, checking in for the cruise is inside the airport too.

@@riyanajamu7286 you'll love it there. And because it's a one resort island, ie very much off the beaten path, the IC want to ensure their guests have easy access to Hayman. It's seamless. Even when you get off at Hayman, you'll be in awe of how easy it is and how hospitable they are.
