They both respect each others and are very good friends. NK words to Dimi at the net are nothing but respect for him. How Dimi was asking the crowd to applause NK at the end was a recognition of his talent. That's how it should be in tennis. It was a thrilling match

Absolutely agree with OP. I watch the highlights because I couldn't watch the game. Doesn't mean I won't watch the following ones, it's obviously not the same to watch the full game and 5mn of it. It would be nice indeed. Other highlights channels do it and it's great you can watch highlights with some sort of suspense.

Dani Vallverdu emotion is fantastic though... No wonder this trainer gets the best out of his players... When he was with Murray, 2 grand slams and olympic gold; with Berdych he brought him to his best world ranking (#4) and since he is with Dimitrov : AO semi final, Masters champ, several big titles... Kudos to Grigor of course but bravo Dani!

As a huge Kyrgios fan, It's obviously disappointing to lose the match through tie breaks. But he has definitely shown to everyone that this year he has massively improved his attitude. In previous years, he would have lost this match 3-0 and probably only won about 10 games. He kept fighting until the end and there is no shame in losing to an ever-improving Dimitrov in four sets. Congrats to Grigor, and let's hope both these fantastic players continue this from into the season.

@Ayush-cy7bz6 жыл бұрын
Yes! The thumbnail gives away the winner. A more subtle(tragic) point is that most highlights of any set consists of points won by that set's eventual winner, even if the set goes to 6-6. Eg: 1st set highlights didn't even show a single winner by kyrgios, final set score 7-6. One just simply doesn't get the taste of either the set or the match from these AO highlights.

That is some insane quality tennis there..... Just look at the stats; The winner/UE ratio, the first serve percentage, the aces, total points won, the net game, they're all in the positives (Except maybe the double faults). Winning 3 tiebreaks against one of the biggest and accurate servers in the game (Not just accurate, nor just big serves, but the combination of both) is a mercurial task.... Even Federer has a 3-3 tiebreak record against this Aussie. Hopefully Grigor doesn't choke on his QF.......

A very tight match with a good technician against an explosive player. Perhaps Dimitrov has more trust on him since his master's championship. So we 've seen the tennis of the future after the thirties will be finished. Just one game and thirteen places shares hus. Nick must be more regular to touch first places and Grigor has just to wait his turn.
