From 'golden collagenine' to a medically-used oxygen carrier, this skincare range from Auteur comes with a very heavy price tag and some fascinating ingredients that point to the future direction of the industry.
The goal is to become THE 'super skincare' range and they intend to do it through products that work with your skin to help it perform at its best.
I tried three core products for six weeks and I share my results and thoughts on the range in this review.
#antiaging #wrinkletreatment

I tried the sample kit. I’m 60 and the Auteur products aged me 5 years in 4 days. My eyes were so dried, lined, with red rings that looked like chemical burn. My whole face looked so tired. I don’t get the hype and I think these KZfaqrs have such a great base that they don’t notice initially. I’ve noticed that a year on from the rave reviews, there are very few influencers still using the line.

Thank you Claire once again for this review which spotlights some of the lesser known products in a saturated skincare market. Your skin looks great so I don't dispute the positive results you've achieved. However, when I looked at the ingredients in the Auteur enzyme cleanser they included such things as corn starch, tapioca starch and citric acid - probably some of the cheapest ingredients available. The serum also contains polyvinyl alcohol (also known as PVA) so I am guessing that's what provides the smoothing appearance of the skin as it's a type of subtle 'adhesive'. I also noticed that fragrance appeared quite high up the list. I wonder if this product was created to compete with the exorbitant Augustinus Bader skincare line.
@thehonestchannel
@thehonestchannel Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this insight David. Funnily enough it's the enzyme cleanser that I particularly enjoy using. The fragrance is very subtle but it is fragranced. They are deliberately setting out to pitch themselves as a designer / aspirational brand, and I'm sure they've looked at the success of Augustinus Bader and seen the market potential.

I haven’t tried this brand but wanted to mention that a very slightly more affordable option is Eighth Day skincare which seems to be along the similar lines as this brand and I can attest that it works amazingly good. It’s still very expensive as well but they do offer a 15%off first signup discount and a a rewards program to help counteract a little of the cost. They also have very great customer service. Much better products that Augustinus Bader. Those products to me are horrible.

The more I think about it the more I will be fascinated to see if there is a strong market for skincare products at this price - they are just so expensive as you say. I’m 10 days into the Adipeau. What I would say is apply it in a thicker layer and let it absorb before using your regular moisturiser. It needs to sit on top of the skin for a few minutes to sink down the hair follicles.

I heard a dermatologist say one time that there's no say in what those growth factors do to fibroblasts in skin and what they can stir up at a cellular level (proliferation) when it comes specifically to skin cancer. I'll pass on anything with growth factors for now until more studies are done on the matter. Then, there's the ridiculous price....
