So true. My ACE score was 7. At the age of 8 years old, I developed inflammation and autoimmune disease in my body and was diagnosed with arthritis. And because the "bear" was home every day, my health deteriorated very quickly, and I was diagnosed with RA and degenerative arthritis. Other symptoms accompanied by depression, headaches, migraines, occasional panic attacks, and indigestion, to name a few. More than have of my life, my body was falling apart. Finally, I began to connect the DOTS, and ONLY from then, I started to heal my self. For the last decade, being symptoms free and healed. Now I now what well-being means to me. Thank you, Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, for the great Health Revolution and UNDERSTANDING children's behavior and health concerns. I am sending much of LOVE here!!! :)
