This is a documentary that we made for our video project at De Montfort University. we were only allowed 5 minutes hence why we have only covered the one spectrum of Autism!
For every sale of a lanyard for Autism, this lady will donate 20% of the sale to the Autism Charity. They are available here: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/26555...

I think that autistic people are beautiful. I had a friend who was autistic. He could function a little better and could talk. He had a hard time when his mom died in a house fire. He wanted to commit suicide, luckily my friends and the teachers at our school helped him to stay alive. He moved always but we still emails me every week. I want to adopt an autistic child one day. I feel like I was meant to help people like him. God Bless, and great video by the way!

What an excellent film. Ben's ASD is explained in an honest and sensitive way. He's fortunate to have such a caring family.

My five year old has just been diagnosed with autism. He's high functioning and in mainstream school, he has a younger sister. It's really interesting to see how autism has impacted on this family, how they have grown up with it. So beautiful how close the relationship can be between brother and sister dispute the severity of his autism. Thanks for sharing!

He reminds me the kids I known for over three years now. They aged from 6 to 26, and I totally enjoy being with them! I totally agree with you, they taught me how to be patient and understanding. Good job, you guys!

we must appreciate any living being and non living things for all their imperfections and perfections , regardless of what people think , they are here after all have problems and solutions just like us. they are people that make us happy most of the times and have been there for us , just for our sake. may the best be with this family and every other family who have similar situations.

I like this. It's a good documentary. Personally I hate it when people talk about me in front of me because I want to say things but I can't always. I have autism too, but higher functioning. It is different for different people though.

Been watching a series of this type of clips, my grand son is 5 yo and still can't say 2 words put together, he has repetitive actions, he is deathly afraid of loud noises, and many other "ticks" but his mom, "my daughter" won't accept that something is wrong? I'm stuck? Not sure what to do as a parent and grandparent, he is still in diapers ........omg I'm just stuck? Any feed back will be helpful....

No1 No2 Recommend to your daughter that he should be checked out by a GP to check if he has a learning or development disorder. If she does not see fit ask the boy's father if he is around. Has his nursery or any of his play groups pointed it out to you? He should start school yet and he would not be in a good environment to learn with his condition. Also how does he react to loud noise? Does it affect him short term or does he sometimes go into a panic? I hope you manage to help him.
