I’m autistic I get really bad meltdowns. I tried to control them but it’s not always easy if any of your children are going through a hard time with having a meltdown I would definitely recommend getting some fidgets for them it would help them calm them down a lot better and it would make them feel happy. ❤

You seem like a wonderful, dedicated father. I know this video is quite old, and I have been binge watching your videos. I commend your commitment to your cause, and providing your children with a happy, enriching life!

I have watched several of your videos. You seem like a wonderful, responsible family. I wish more families could live by your examples. Some autistic children and adults receive none if any love, respect and guidance. You treat your children as if they are human, not inferior living beings. So when I was about 2, I wasn’t talking yet so the doctor diagnosed me with mild autism. When I was about 3, my parents put me in to taekwondo because it was good for me and also I needed some skills and did OT with my instructor. When I was 4 and 5 they put me into OT because so that I can get some skills for the rest of my life. I started talking when I was about 6 when i was in kindergarten. I was just using sign language for parts of me life.

I like how your harness isn’t too overbearing, don’t feel bad about that…..parents do that even for neurotypical children if they’re within big cities…..do what you need to do as long as its not physically hurting them.

Thank you so much for the autism emergency kit tips. I'm going to get a trampoline for my son to center and calm himself. At one point, I had my son on a leash because of the impulsive running and not listening, but he has gotten better since he's attending his ABA therapy classes Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. eastern time. 😊

This video was recorded on the day Ian Owen had a meltdown and a tantrum combined, but I can tell he tried not to show his anger. Unfortunately he ended up going out of control. I’m autistic too and I have very bad sensory meltdowns at a school in Farmington Hills Michigan. I’m not going to undisclose the location. I had a sensory meltdown, and ended up destroying things. It started off with aggression. First you know I wish I could revisit that place when I forgot where it was cause I was too young to remember one time. I peed on myself there on accident. And after that had a sensory meltdown, but I was changed at the school bathroom the men’s bathroom or the boys bathroom and we went home early and I did not get punished but that meltdown would’ve been avoided and it happened every single day so I just want to say that people have re-uploaded that video and Ian Owen does not deserve to be made fun of because he had this meltdown years ago or is having a meltdown currently today he does not deserve to be made fun of. He doesn’t deserve to be punished. If he’s having an autistic meltdown, it happens to me every single day at school, especially when I was little because my mom mentioned me being a fussy baby I’m like my sister no issues she was easy to work with, but me was not so that was like a short introduction to my experience of meltdowns. But they rarely happen today and I’ve been climatized to these settings out in public and at school. I’m in elevator enthusiast and love elevators, but I just want to say that no autistic kid having a meltdown deserves hurtful things to be set towards them or to them. I wish there was an employee or security trying to control the traffic during that meltdown because there were a bunch of people they are talking and stuff and that overstimulated him in the sensory input from the cars that are stuck in place on the ground simulations he was also caught on photo evidence getting unsettled so he was mentioned you saw saw his face. He was getting a little sad, so I was like they better leave immediately before he has a meltdown, because he could’ve destroyed some things in that store, or walk to a store, having a meltdown, but thankfully they have his leash and he will be pulled back from the store and he will be walked out and they leave immediately. They couldn’t even drive until he calmed down but they had to and that poses a dangerous threat to them autistic people rarely grow out of meltdowns that goes for level 2 and level 3!!! he was also caught on video nearly having a sensory meltdown. That was a pre-meltdown he literally exhibited some self injurious behavior, but it was not on purpose. But again I’m not making fun of him but thankfully he’s no longer he has been conditioned to live in and experience any high sensory areas. It took him a little bit of work. It is also taking me years of substantial support to prevent meltdowns from happening out in public and at home and in school anywhere. I still have substantial support today. Because of my autism spectrum disorder, I am inside a multiple classrooms with special needs students. Thankfully, he got to revisit the mall and answer some questions after that meltdown to play seven years ago at Murray Fashion Place in Murray, Utah. Unfortunately, this was typed out on an iPad and I can’t separate the sentences correctly.
