The kid did nothing wrong. My best guess is it was caused by the mothers statement of waiting until she has a meltdown and starts scratching. If she had just left out the part about scratching they likely would have been okay. Adding to it, hot meals are available inside the airport. Did they try to feed her before boarding. Not all domestic flights have hot meals on board.

Ok fifth time trying to reply and I have to say my brother would most likely be more annoying because he is very loud me and parents have separate rooms and across the hallway with their door and my door closed I can hear my brother crying across the hall and in one incident you see my brother was crying so hard not only could I hear him in the basement while he was all the way upstairs when I picked him up I could feel his sweat and when he was done I could hear him kind of gasping for air and if they think the girl was annoying and would be a threat think again well what the airline did with that comment was kind of immature was the captain did was kind of dude yet reasonable (kind of) to why do I say this well if something did happen well what about all the other passengers safety and if not that then wouldn't the captain be nervous that could not only affect this plane but also all the passengers on board but still the whole thing with the flight attendant and airline comment all of that downright rude and immature what the captain did in the middle (also my brother is only 5months and we haven't actually been in a plane yet with him do to the pandemic so don't blame him)

I agree with you. I used to work as Cabin Crew and safety is the number 1 priority in the air. This girl`s needs are not more important than the safety of everyone onboard. I`ve also worked as a Carer looking after autistic people and whilst I sympathise to a degree with dealing with disabled people`s behaviours, it does not allow you to be spoilt and entitled.

Absolutely agree, the mom was the one making threats, not the daughter. I don't work in the airline industry but I imagine in first class they only have so many meals for so many passengers. "Meltdown and scratching herself" is not violence towards others, any more than someone getting a seizure due to low blood sugar or similar. What I do find a bit strange though, is why they did not pack snacks. Might be that there is none that fits her needs that are seen as plane-safe, but it is a bit unlikely.

I am not sure if it was this interview or another I did see with her, they blend together a bit. Yet, if it is one missing word that has made it into a "threat", it is worrying that they are jumping to the conclusion of that is the case. The whole case is messy, and seems to have been caused by lack of training of the staff, and lack of planning from the parents' side. Combined, that does not tend to go well.

Each crew is different everyone makes a different call.. different situations different people on bored allots of factors. It’s something to talk about but I wouldn’t go yelling at them for making the decision if you listen to all the facts displayed in the video it’s not that shocking. HDXD her kid is special needs,she ask for certain accomadations,they refused even they they have to accommodate by law and the parent then said if she doesn’t get her specific needs she will have a violent meltdown which is worse for everyone involved and more of an issue and inconvenience rather than just giving the girl the specific accomadations she needs.even then they gave her the hot meal and everything was fine,the problem was over with yet the pilot decided to “emergency land” and take that amount of hassle just to throw off the autistic girl and her family because he was uncomfortable with having an autistic girl on his flight

if the passenger is disrupting the flight they should removed from the flight regardless of your disability. I once had a mentally disabled individual disrupt a movie I was watching. I was watching Lord of the rings at a Cinema and these mentally ill people spent the entire time making strange noises which ruined the experience for me. If you cannot sit still for a movie without making loud noises then you should not be in cinemas, planes, buses trains, ships, or anything else where there would be a captive audience.

Especially when adults with autism get shamed because they have to live at home and they get harassed for it. it’s absolutely disgusting that people have the RUDENESS and lack of education and brains to say stuff that could get them beat up, shot, stabbed, or kicked out of a place.
