Ableton is finally giving us its own version of Autotune. Auto Shift will be available in all editions of Live and if you have a license for Live 12, you can already test the beta: www.ableton.com/en/beta/
Auto Shift is a new real-time monophonic pitch tracking and correction audio effect with formant shifting. Although it can be used with any monophonic signal, it really shines when working with vocals. Using the MIDI sidechain, the incoming signal can also be played and harmonised monophonically or polyphonically. Two different LFOs can be used to modulate Auto Shift's main functions: either a multipurpose LFO or a dedicated vibrato LFO.

What they need: Stem separator, Built-in template genre, allows device folder back and live 12 would be epic!

@@Atem_S.if you want a template, it would be best to make your own. Ableton gives you everything you need. Stock templates would be lame, IMO.

Make your own templates, and folders with tags and "save search"...

Ja templates are for guys whon dont want to put in any work. Maybe music maker or other beginner apps are more what he needs😂@@tendrel_sound

Could someone let me know their thoughts on the "auto shift" vs "melodyne" or "antares autotune pro"? The most obvious feature to me would be the visual graph so you can manipulate notes.

Yes, any tuning system. Even user added ones.

Have Live 12.0.10 suite version and auto shift doesn't show up in audio effects or anywhere when searching. Is this only for mac?

It's the 12.1 beta. You'd have to be part of the beta test, link in the description.

Can’t wait to try this on live vocals. I never really vibed with the vocoder as a means of doing vocal harmonies. Also want to try it for non-intended things like guitar etc.🎉

Yes, I feel the same about the vocoder, but it isn't really suitable as a harmoniser anyway.

from Minute 8 + your voice changings brings often a smile to my face. spec. the Daft Punk Madeleine, or the Easyleeee Ricardo Vilalobos track voice sounds so good...and you showcase very well what is possible... I think they're aware. The updates in Live 12.1 show that they're listening better and implementing according to user feedback.

@@awakemusic3031 Audio Random Access (commonly abbreviated to ARA) is an extension for audio plug-in interfaces, such as AU, VST and RTAS, allowing them to exchange a greater amount of audio information with digital audio workstation (DAW) software. ARA increases the amount of communication possible between DAW software and a plug-in, allowing them to exchange important information, such as audio data, tempo, pitch, and rhythm, for an entire song, rather than just at the moment of playback. This increased amount of information exchange, and availability of data from other points in time, removes the need for audio material to be transferred to & from the plug-in, allowing that plug-in to be used as a more closely integrated part of the DAW's overall interface.

Bad in what way? There's no latency even in live mode. From what I've tested, it works as expected. There's no graphic interface as in Melodyne though, which some people might miss. You'd have to automate parameters to get such deep customisation with Auto Shift.

@@TastySwift its a fun tool ,...not a surgery scalpel Melodyne less to non artefact tool.. from vocoder robot to typical Autotyne sounding its all in range now.. ..I like the most...the extrem settings .. the,,SONIC"options... playground ...
