It's a very great and welcomed news to finally see another Nabokov fan. Great job

Great video. Just finished the book myself. Beautifully written, though I can’t say I understood it all. Also very interesting how much he wrote about Tamara and not his own wife.

I remember being in a Russian literature class and learning that Nabokov didn't just translate his own books, but actually wrote 3 SLIGHTLY different books for English Russian and French. Even in English his books were some of the only one's I ever needed a dictionary for. The thing that drove me over the edge was some statement he made that writing in Russian and French was much smoother for him than English due to English having such a bloated and impercise vocabulary. English is my native tongue, and i knew that he was right, and absolutely despaired at the realization that some of the most elegant and impactful prose I had ever read was made by someone who thought English was his clunkiest version. Nabokov is a better writer in English than anyone that comes to mind for me and it's just not fair, he's so good that it just isn't fair

Oh my gods, a youtuber whose bookshelves aren't completely packed with every fantasy series and graphic novel ever written! A rare thing indeed.

I found it very interesting how little he spoke about his siblings but did allude to him being sexually abused by his uncle.
