This is for good reason, given the persecution of Jewish people. But times have moved on and and nobody need hide the reality of their family if they have horrible origins, it's best to discard old tropes and open up to the truth of the situation. In particular the dominance of people in the family who are toxic. People may try to exploit this but you can see them a mile off. Truth has a way of protecting you. My family is very messed up and they always hated that I distanced myself and still do. Therefore I have to trust others who aren't family this is inevitable and it's also progress. @Graphic Designer I have been there with my one and only elder sister who I loved as much as my mother. Turns out she was badmouthing about me to my parents and family member and god knows who else. Always gave back-ended comments; incited me to leave my proper 9-5 jobs and other well-paying jobs so she could look good and once I left, she would be like why did you leave that job. Helped out at my family restaurant; I told her how customers would be giving me big tip which is not required at that fast-good restaurant and she chimes in - may be waitressing is your calling (NOTHING WRONG with waitressing for me for I think they work hard!!! but I always had something more creative in mind and S my innate skills). That was my nudge to wake up from my half-sleep-blinding love for her and now, after two wonderful children if hers who still loves me as they are too young to know and decipher and be told negative words about me, we are non-existent in each other's life!!!! I have accounts of her evil conniving always and she has true ability with her soft voice to have my parents and others twisted in control under her fingers. I am just happy now by myself and with Allah by my side and we realize God is the ONLY CONSTANT in our life. Trust yourself, God and your gut and be brave and get up every time you fall and or falter....and carry on. I absolutely feel your pain. 😔🙂☘️💫💚
