Great workaround. I've been opening the file in Civil 3D and setting the co-ordinate system by right clicking the file name in the settings tab of the prospector. For some reason it's not as easy in AutoCAD but this seems to work.

Civil 3D is a beast! I am no surprised that autocad can be less straightforward

@@CivilTechSource it's surprising that AutoCAD hasn't implemented an easier way of setting the co-ordinate system like you can in Civil 3D

Hi Nathan, if you mean the default ribbon and set out of everything, I could send you the CUI file, but if you mean the custom ribbon that I made for CTS (you can see it in my other videos) then I am afraid I cannot share that one as I am in the process of setting it up to sell it on my website. I would assume we need to find the formula of converting the latitude and longitude for dubai into easting and northing, have you tried a Google search?

Actually i tried this one with a cracked version of cad and the geolocation window won't budge. does that mean getting a license is required to use this feature

Thats a good question, that actually might be the case as the map data is online and as we know anything cracked we cannot let it talk online

@@Jam-ht7ir Requires your autodesk account to ping Bing maps. Its a frustrating system especially for some of us who have a spin off of AutoCAD like F/X Cad

Hi Mustafiz, thanks for the support! I did some research, depending on what easting and northing system you use you can use the following website to convert the lat & lon values to easting and northings rcn.montana.edu/Resources/Converter.aspx . Maybe any of our Canadian friends can help out?

Grid reference finder works only for UK, how to get rest of the world? Specifically USA and India

Good question! I think there is a website that converts lat and long do x and y depending on the GIS system you use.

Thanks! But, the address ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jsyda5dpzsmpnmg.html ) bar is not active to pest the coordinate. I use Autodesk AutoCAD 2020. What could be the problem with mine, Sir??
