In this Autocad tutorial, I talk about drawing scale in Autocad.
You need to draw your project in "real scale" or "1:1" scale.
Autocad takes care of scaling your drawing later on when you want to print the project through "Viewport Scale" which can be found in a "Layout" or "Paper Space".

Thanks for the tutorial. It would be great if you can make another video explaining what exactly those scales are that you're clicking on. What does it mean 1/8"? Does it mean that 1 inch on paper is 8 inches in reality?

Hello there, To erase text: select the text element & right-click with the mouse and choose Erase. I hope this helps!

King of 2d drawing is one- Solid Edge 2D drafting. Where are the parametric constraints? where is the dimension control? 0$ it'st total cost for SE.

Good to know! Does Solid Edge create drawings in DWG format? Does it import images & pdfs?

@@JayCad Yes, Solid Edge writes and reads dwg and dxf files. I use it for many underlays from e.g. LBNL Therm or others. PDF also reads. It is also a 3d file viewer from Solid Edge 3D. It is a dedicated 3D draft module fully fledged and compatible with this 3D most importantly $ 0 for commercial use. I can save the object scratch, change it to 2d and fully edit in this 2D. Without it, I can add dimensions, draw, hide lines ect, and I can also prepare a sketch for extrusion in 3D. Something similar to drawing a sketching module from Inventor, the rules of drawing are very similar, and sketches are also made in the same way, e.g. in Solid Works, ProE, or Catia And you can save the sev file to the solid edge mobile viwer app.

Why the F%$#@K subs in Korean ?? that is very nice for folks in Korea, but what about the people with hearing problems who speak English ?? I enjoyed watching the series so far, but I have to draw the line her Kind regards Hans

Hi Hans! Whatever subs you are seeing are auto-generated by KZfaq and are not uploaded as part of our videos. In the subtitles button, you don’t see an English option? Interesting if you’re only seeing Korean
