Awesome car the G580, but awful use cases.. Because When you get to the offroad course you are already at half battery left, use it for some offroad and for the return home trip you have no battery.

Thank you Thomas and Lia for an amazing review! Especially appreciated how you included driving impressions for the 500/550, 63, and 580. The picnic idea with the charging cable box is ingenious. 😀 Glad the traditional spare tire is available for the electric version, as is the conventional grill - at least with the European configurator. For those of us in North America, it will be interesting to see what trim options will be offered beyond the initial special edition models. Personally I think the black plastic around the headlights makes the front end look cheap. Think Mercedes did an excellent job with revising the gas powered models, addressing many of the shortcomings of the W463a/W464 series while keeping what people love about this vehicle. Thanks again for a fantastic video and keep up the terrific work!

In my opinion, the G-Wagon is so unique I would only compare the different models to each other. Most reviewers like to do acceleration tests, sports car handling tests, etc. In my mind, it's great for short jaunts to the store where you may need lots of trunk space, but primarily for off road in luxury. For carrying lots of people via long highway trips, there are many better suv choices.

Mention please if the seat can still move to the rear when you seat as well as you mention there is room above the head. If there is no more move to the rear, should say is not convenient for more than 189 tall.

Cant really grasp my mind around the God and faith under car reviews videos. Saw it so many times. Like God will give you 150k for a car...either you work your ass off (and I doubt motivation to buy a car is enough) or try the luck in a casino. But no god will give you G wagon. @@TheRealYaro

I hope in tests with electric .he won’t knock his competitors into the dirt! 35:22 Wow, what a “voice” G-roar button, but in Mat’s test it wasn’t like that! So it’s not all that bad! 42:05 Consumption is also good! That is, if you drive in city mode for 60-80 km, you can drive up to 500 km/23 kWh Well, if you drive 130 km, then about 280 km/40+ kW.h... I think the G63 will travel 130 km + - the same amount!

thank you for the review. I am surprised that you didn't more heavily consider the diesel,, probably they didn't have one to drive. But more torque, than the six gas version, better mileage and with the optional dynamic response shocks, would most likely have less roll than the six gas without the option. In probably six months, maybe longer, Mercedes will offer their latest battery tech with far extended range. Tend to think that the resale value of this current E version will take a hit.

You can offroad this for an entire day. You can do the Schöckl course over 13 times on one battery. That's the height difference equivalent of Mount Everest. Combustion cars meanwhile are super inefficient when offroading.

I had the dinosaur 240 GD with 72 hp for a few years, would skip all later models and take without no doubt the electric version. 1 motor on each wheel is the logical step for an off-road vehicle.

Im a EV fan. Ive been driving EVs for 6 years and love them to bits. BUT this G EV is stupid, very bad engineering, incredibly heavy... Other EV manufacturers make their EVs lighter than combustion competitors. Clearly Mercedes doesnt know 2hat theyre doing yet
