Ha ha very clever. Just going to drop a question here that I remember posting on one of your older videos (you were probably too busy to reply) - could you recommend a few books for a beginner automata maker? And to what extent should one study theoretical aspects of mechanics? Thanks.

Hi Neeraj, Sorry for misplacing your previous note. When I was getting started I bought Automata and Mechanical Toys by Rodney Pepe. It was helpful and inspiring. It is available on Amazon. There is also a lot of info on online that is great like Automata 101, or a few Ebooks on how to make automata. Al

I'm no expert, but have been studying Automata lately. Check out this link for a nice free on-line book about automata: issuu.com/hmorenop/docs/addams_robert_-_how_to_design_and_m. I also found Tom Haney's videos extremely helpful; about halfway through the videos he usually has some "in-progress" photos that are full of useful information. Of course the best teacher is experience. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the link Todd. Looks like a fantastic primer. I've been doing some detective work myself and clearly I'm not the only one pausing Tom Haney's videos for the in-progress shots!
