Note: this only works on hard difficulty because otherwise the villagers might not turn into zombies

How I made this a little easier to use: Have the villager ride directly into the hole in the mine cart. I kept having the cactus destroy my mine cart, so this eliminated that issue. Put a trapdoor in the zombie’s cell to push it closer to the villager. This insured that he will be close enough to attack. (I also have him raise and lower on a slab attached to a sticky piston, just for safe keeping. This suggestion works.) I replaced the hopper/dropper/dispenser system with a single piston that I activate manually once the villager has been zombified. This pushed the mine cart into a powered rail that is the same as the video. Like he said, I just have a chest for extra mine cart storage and golden apples. The dispenser for the potions is good. I saw a comment about arrows of weakness, and I found this unsuccessful, at least from the dropper. At the station where you give the villager a profession, I have a stone pressure plate that I stand on that raises a block at the entrance, eliminating all path finding for the villager. I’ve only been playing Minecraft since the beginning of August, so some of this may be slightly inefficient, but it helped me. That being said, the guide helped me a lot.

This survival guide has gotten me further in Minecraft than I ever have! Thanks for enabling me to spend some quality time with my brother and help my self confidence with gaming!

After the mosh pit you need a separator for babies and adults the one I use as the babies standing below water next to a sign when they grow up they swim up because their head is in water and the water pushes them over

When a zombie kills you with a looting sword can it duplicate your drops ? 😂

The sword that the zombie villager picked up was from the one you gave the diamond sword. If you had given the Zombie Villager even a wooden sword, he would have dropped the Golden Apple for it. Very similar to how Foxes will exchange a Lead for a Sweetberry.

I think if you place a block at the profession near the gap you enter can prevent the villager from pathfind I've done it myself

Put a trapdoor behind the zombie so it's a little closer to the villager. That way it will instantly attack the villager. I had the same problem where the zombie was not attacking the villager and the extra trapdoor worked for me.

Wouldn't an activator rail instead of the last powered rail be easier and less likely to have the cart killed by the cactus?

Maybe you can use activator rails to push them out of the minecart to the curing hole .

in this part 16:51 you could put a slab on the top part (in front of his forehead) to stop him from pathfinding workstation outside but still allow him to pick up a workstation u put below the slab.

I feel so cheated by how smoothly your zombie handling went!! I can only take solace in knowing that I'm not the only one who has had an iron golem break in and take out my named zombie. Mine spawned into the infection room, wrecked the zombie and the villagers who had already been turned. It was not a good day in the lab.

One thing I've found is that zombies seem to be more willing to hold onto rotten flesh than other items I've tried, so you may want to try that next time you need a persistent zombie. Thanks for the series, both my son and I enjoy watching and playing along in our own world.

I made alternative same system problem is after someday continuous trading villagers remove their discount. and if you remove work station they won't refresh their trade amount. sorry for my bad English.

If you unload the chunks while a zombie villager is healing it will despawn even if it’s name tagged

I like my method better...aimlessly riding my horse until I hope to find one zombie villager before the sun comes up. Finding said zombie villager, luring him back to the village, watch sun come up just before I get back, burns to death, throw controller, rinse/repeat.

Hello Im not sure myself, but in my experience, if you don’t lock the trade(at-least trade with the villager once) they will change trades! So trade with the silk touch villager quick! He may change anytime! Also you might want to name tag them just in case C:

I might want one of these in my dungeon to instill fear into the villagers I want to trade with regularly... I didn't expect the dungeon to be a place to do anything more than... remove... villagers with bad trades.

By the way you have to play on HARD difficulty settings otherwise there is a 50% chance you can lose your villager when the zombie kills it instead of turning it. I would recommend doing that though it might mess up any other zombies or mobs you have. There is a chance the villager can get killed and not turned!!!

Jobs are not determined by pathfinding, it is simply determined by available work stations within a specific radius (I believe 50 blocks or so)...

Isn't it a bug that Zombie Villagers despawn even though they are nametagged and/or hold an and have armor?

I don't seem to get any discount after converting them back into villagers.... Is it because I'm playing on console or could I be doing something wrong, I've tryed with a few wild zombie villagers and Ive tryed with my favourite librarian none gave me a discount

When the villager is zombified, it technically spawned a new zombie villager. Since that librarian villager "spawned" with leather armor and a sword when zombified, that means that it can despawn.

The only problem you have is the leftover Mine cart in the zombie curing station. What you can do is place an unpowered rail on the glass block and then put a button on the block next to it and that one mine cart can trolly the zombie villagers for the whole machine and you can nix the dispenser you have set up there. Or you can put a sticky piston on the glass block and drop the mine cart down after the villager.
