Salut, Ai un canal foarte misto si informativ. Am o Cupra 280 la care am aplicat cateva din modificarile de pe canalul tau: amortizoare portbagaj, amortizoare capota, jante vopsite negru lucios, sigla spate+fata inlocuite, semnalizari dinamice oglinzi. A fost de mare ajutor content-ul tau.

Installed the new gas springs on my Leon 5F and I am super happy. One of the reasons I did that is because in the winter, quite often the latch (seat symbol) gets stuck and I can't open the trunk without the fear of something breaking there. I also looks cool :D. I now have to use some force to close the trunk but nothing to worry about.

Hey, I have had these now for roughly around a year. They worked brilliantly. However I have noticed in the last about 3-4 months it rarely works now. Is there anything I can do for maintenance of these struts? Or do they just get weaker as they age? How are your gas struts do they still work well?

Unfortunately I removed them because it was hard for my wife to close the trunk.

Hi!! To open the automatic lock, do I have to hold the button on the remote? Or just by pressing once the remote opens automatically?

You need first to replace the struts. After you will need to hold the button on the remote yes.

You need to check if the struts from SC have same length as Hetch ones.

Are you happy with the result? Is it difficult to close the trunk now? I also needed new gas struts but decided to stick to original. Maybe in future I will still try it out

I have the same ones, it is not really difficult. Instead of one “throw” to close the trunk I use one throw and then a small push. Took 2 weeks to get used to.

Salut. Sunt in faza finala de a achizitiona un Leon 2018 ST. Motorul e 1.6 diesel, cutie manuala. Ai idee cat de galagioasa e masina la 130kmh? Despre faruri ce parere ai (sunt LED). Fisbilitate? Merci mult!

Salut. Eu fac drumuri preponderent autostrada. Masina este destul de silentioasa la 130km/h. Eu am roti pe 18 si motorizare pe benzina), cu roti mai mici cred ca este si mai silentioasa. Farurile LED sunt o placere noaptea. Despre fiabilitate, am avut in trecut un 1.6 TDI si am vandut masina la 210k km fara nici o problema intampinata pana atunci.

Hello! Thanks for your appreciation. I bougth it from a local store. You need 2 pieces Stabilus 017468. They fit only for Leon 5F Hatch.

They are suitable for Leon hatchback 5F from 2013 to 2020. Does not matter if is Cupra/FR etc. The body of the car is the same.

If the gas strust from ST have same length as this aftermarket one I think yes, you can use it.

how does this work then?? I have a seat altea and you cant open the hatch door unless you lift up the tailgate latch ? I have tried pulling on the door and clicking the key ,, and it will not open without pulling the latch up...,,,hope this makes sense.. Conan ..thanks

For Leon 5F works well. Altea is a different car with different hatch.

I think yes. You can find struts for ST. Measure the original ones and buy struts from Stabilus with correct length.

Is Cupra original diffuser. Here are the part numbers. 5F0807568C9B9+5F0825189G Check the video with the exhaust from the channel for more info.

nu trebuie sa lucrezi deloc cu vcds-ul? Doar schimbi amortizoarele si atat ? Care este pretul per bucata la un amortizor pe gas?

Nu, nu trebuie nimic facut din VCDS. Setul de amortizoare a fost in jur de 100 lei.

Yes, but with different struts from Stabilus. I think the ST version needs longer struts.

Nu modelul din video. Cred ca trebuie unele mai lungi. Eu unul am renuntat la ele pentru ca sotia nu putea inchide portbagajul.

Salut. Da, este diferit fata de hatchback. Intre timp eu am revenit la amortizoarele originale pentru ca sotia se chinuia sa inchida portbagajul.

@@VladGeru Oare sti ce as putea sa iau pentru ST-ul meu? Ca si fiabilitate a fost ok amortizoarele? Eu as cumpara (nu pentru fita) ci pentru ca ma enerveaza sa tot pun bagajele pe jos ca sa pot sa ridic portbagajul ( am 2 copii, si car multe :-) ). Mi se deschide portbagajul din cheie doar ca trebuie sa-l ridic eu.
