Automatic Belt Tensioner by ROSTA saves time and money
Selecting a self-adjusting ROSTA unit eliminates improperly tensioned belts, and therefore reduces costs associated with production downtime, lost energy and maintenance-related labor.
By some estimates, as many as 60 percent of industrial chain and belt PT drives may be operating with no tension maintaining device other than manual adjustable bearing blocks. Many plants forget drive-tensioning adjustments altogether and simply accept the resulting downtime, material and labor costs as normal.
The self-adjusting ROSTA Tensioner design avoids the problems and limitations of metal-spring tensioners. The preloaded spring energy act continuously and automatically and compensate even the slightest variations in drive tension that result from either on-going, normal wear or random, momentary load fluctuations.
The self-adjusting ROSTA torsion type packs equivalent tensioning power into a much smaller unit, giving its user greater latitude in positioning the device with respect to other system components.
The ROSTA torsion tensioners also offer extra advantages in needing no lubrication, running quieter and longer with less wear and maintenance. ROSTA Tensioner fatigue much more slowly than metal springs, and commonly last seven to nine years before needing replacement.
