The car is so narrow it’s not a big deal. You can easily reach the passenger side if you need to occasionally adjust it.

Those car review websites are so snooty about power locks and windows and mirrors but I agree with you, I don't see the point of having those on a car this size. Best of all, the advantages of manual controls is its less battery drain AND less stuff to go wrong 😊

@@resetsetmefree478 I agree. I got the CVT version in 21 and I'm fine with it. Got 17 thousand on it so far and it's going great. The only thing is the mileage claims. I'll belive 38 when I see it. Maybe if you're crawling along at 65 without AC, but that's not possible in Phoenix where I live. I average 29 to 32. Would probably get up to 35 highway if it was winter and I was taking it slow.

I thought the cvt was a sealed unit?? If so, there's no way to change the fluid. I'm getting mixed reports on this topic

Got 202k miles on Hyundai Veloster with only oil changes. Never once changed transmission fluid on it.

Like with anything else the price can and does vary depending on where you live and the dealer. I'm in a major city in the usa where everything's expensive so considering the final out the door price, it was no longer a "cheap" car 🙄

Civic will be more dependable.

i have 54k on mine now with out missing a beat, average 41 mpg, its a basic transportation car but does that very well

I have driven in worst, but its relatively bad for a 2021 car.

No. I have 17K on mine and I'm perfectly happy with it. Guess it depends on your age and maturity though. I'm 55 and have driven mostly Mercedes Benz's and Cadillac's etc most of my life. I'll have another one of those again for sure. But there is nothing wrong with the way these drive. Unless you have the mental level of a 12 year old with your head screwed on crooked under your ball cap worried about your dick size.

That’s exactly why I bought it 6 years ago 😂😂 For real: it’s been an amazing value. $10.6k OTD and have only done oil changes and replaced tires. That’s it. Incredibly reliable and I don’t see a reason to replace it anytime soon. Even when/if I have a family I can see it still as a 2nd car vs getting rid of it. It’s just too reliable and fun to drive. I’ve driven it cross country twice to give perspective of the kind of driving I’ve done on it. Over 60k miles so far. The biggest critique is the boot…it’s very small, even for its class. If I’m doing a big Costco run I often need to use the backseat in addition to the trunk. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind if you’re using it as a family car. Another thing to keep in mind: it’s rated to carry just 660lb…so if you are on the heavy side I dont recommend it. I once had a friend of mine who weighed 400lb in the passenger seat…and you could see the suspension dip dramatically. Had to drive very carefully to not damage my car as altogether with another adult in the backseat it was about 820lb Final caveat: there’s more rear room in the passenger backseat than the driver if you’re tall. I’m 6-2 so I push the driver seat back as far as possible, and the backseat on my side is only useful for either a small adult or child. Passenger side though is roomy enough for a full sized adult even when that front side is fully extended. These are very popular in a lot of the 3rd world because of its reliability. So if you’re just looking for good value and fun city car it’s easily the best bargain in NA that doesn’t feel like a penalty box (*coughmirage*)

@@FxckRacism get it used then lol. A year used is practically new anyway. This is actually my 2nd one: the first one I had was totaled by an 18 wheeler after just 6 months, but I got back from the insurance more than it was new 😂 My current one was 1 year old when I bought it for around 9k fully loaded. The only thing I wished was to have manual again, but the CVT is pretty good especially after a free dealer update a couple years back. They depreciate hard, so you should be able to get these pretty cheap.

@@FxckRacism a used Mercedes is asking for lots of maintenance costs. I mean you’re comparing the lowest tier car in Chevrolet’s offering to a luxury car that’s 5-7x the price new. Of course a Mercedes will be nicer…but it depends on what you want and need. Personally, having a large car is a liability in a city anyway. I’m just taking as one cheap Jew to another 🤣 Also out of principal I don’t buy German cars for obvious reasons, but that’s a different story.
