Thank you so much I love the mini but I love working on cars and all your videos use the language that a mechanic would understand and the information is what a mechanic trying to replicate what you guys do needs to know , and you give up that information so freely . One thing to add to your description of Mini brake line fittings is the fact that Rover had a nasty habit of mixing imperial (UNF) and Metric threads on the later cars. On some models (my 1992 Cooper for example) the long solid brake line that runs from the rear subframe to the balancing valve in the engine compartment has a UNF male at the rear and a metric male at the front - on the same pipe! You can force a connection with the wrong fitting because the threads are similar but it doesn't result in a safe joint.

There are lots of videos available on brake and fuel lines. Your video is by far the best I have ever watched. Perfect combination of well thought out content with professional delivery. One question: what is the preferred method for releasing/removing crimp hose clamps? Thanks so much for preparing these videos! Lin

Great video, and very informative. Thanks for sharing! Do you have any particular views on fixing lines to the body? i.e. the use of p-clips (with or without cushioning) or similar?
