I've owned a '23 CR-V Sport Hybrid FWD for just over a year now. The mileage is absolutely insane for a small crossover. I am consistently getting 44+ MPG in city commuting, and 38-40 MPG on long road trips. All this while riding comfortably and with tons of space. I've also taken the CR-V softroading on some longer gravel roads and dirt roads to access trailheads. It has handled wonderfully and my confidence in its abilities has increased greatly. And a secret tip for anyone that is unhappy that the rear seats do not fold flat. Get a 6' folding table from Costo and it will fill out the rear cargo deck nearly flush with the seats down. Just like the original CR-Vs, having a table in the trunk is a huge perk!

We bought a 2024 EL-X and the next day went on a 3500 mile trip cross-country. The car was really comfortable, we got 32 mpg, I don't think we have a single complaint. Well, I did want a Porsche Mecan but it was 30K more!

Love your review. I just picked up a 2024 CRV XL and it does have both tilt and telescopic wheel. By adjusting one lever you're able to do both at the same time. So far I love the car and the safety features is my number one concern and this car has it all. Insurance companies takes that into consideration when pricing coverage..

Great review as always. As a new owner of a 23 Civic Si, which has the same dash layout, I can honestly say the infotainment screen and HVAC knobs/dials is incredibly easy to use while driving. Those HVAC dials turn with very solid clicks. I have read some people complain about the small size of the infotainment screen, but it’s perfect for me.

Thank you. 😀 SI’s are cool! I’m glad you’re enjoying it, and I’ve been looking forward to driving this new gen CR-V. Big screens are over rated. Usually auto manufacturers screen technology isn’t great and ages poorly, so you might as well have a smaller screen with only what’s critical to its interface within its design, IMO. Thanks again for joining me! 🙂

bought the CRV 3 days ago. We now have about 125 miles so this is an initial impression. We traded an 2019 Explorer Limited. We are surprised that, at this trim level, the Honda does not have a built in garage door opener or heated steering wheel. The car drives great around town but I found it extremely noisy on the highway. Noise seems to generated by the Bridgestone tires on the asphalt. I was surprised at the lack of rearward seat travel. I am only 5'7" and had the seat at the end of the travel. I know there are other adjustments that need to be investigated. The handling and performance seemed good. The steering was a little glitchy but think that had to do with the lane centering feature which will get turned off the next trip to see. My wife likes the car but my initial feeling is that my F350 dually is quieter and more comfortable. I am not giving up on the Honda

Great review as always. You and motormouth are my favorite car review people. As an FYI for you and your loyal viewers considering a purchase in the class of vehicles - Subaru is strongly hinting that the 2025 Forester Wilderness will be turbo. Some articles say it will be the same engine as the Outback Wilderness with 260 HP and others are saying 300 HP. I will be waiting for that as the Forester is top rated for snow handling and visibility. With the addition of a juiced up engine, who can resist that?

Oh gotcha! For that I also apologize, this is the only current gen one I’ve found to drive so far, so I don’t have first had experience to share an opinion regarding this vehicle. But based off of other vehicles I’ve driven every trim level of I would say if you’re not going to install aftermarket door speakers then it’s probably best to pay for the factory upgrade. Usually the lowest speakers might sound a bit washed out, factory upgrades usually sound decent ish , but in the aftermarket realm you’ll likely get a better quality speaker and potentially for less money, depending on install costs if you don’t DIY. 🙂

I've been comparing the Forester Limited to the CR-V EXL, there are pluses and minuses with both. I think Honda wins in that it is rather new-ish, Forester will be all-new later this year with the 2025 model. Forester is standard with AWD so that is to be considered, it's a better system too. But Honda has a better looking dash layout, better multi-view camera system. If hauling stuff around is important, Honda is worse with the huge hump on the load floor with the back seats laid down, what the....? And no pull handles anymore? It's a tuff comparison between these two.
@tamaraonthego
@tamaraonthego 4 ай бұрын
@@ofcbob6391 it's not really a tuff comparison. If you're a city mom like me, you don't need AWD because 4 tyres go all at once 😅 can't do no rotation from front back. AWD is mostly for off road terrains. Plus, the hump in the back prevents all my big stuff from slipping, if I lay that seat and push an item over there, I don't hear no sliding around all over the v place. If you have a boat or jet ski then, you may need a pull... if not, it's not sexy....it looks barnyard tow truck... well, I'm sorry for this. I'm trying to let people understand, I've been misguided before based on reviews then, turn out sorry. Buy a vehicle based on your needs and aesthetics ✨️ 💛 💕
