Beautiful truck! I’d take one of those, V8 version of course, over a new F150, every day of the week.

Absolutely! I filmed this over 4 months ago and I forgot how nice this truck was. I’m sure its MSRP wasn’t much more than its sell price at this point (high 30’s I think it was) but after seeing the prices of all those expensive trucks in the collapsed videos I share this seems like a steal lol. 5.7 Tundra is the new Gold, if you can afford 13mpg lol. 😂

A neighbor / friend bought a 2011 Tundra Access cab 4WD with the 8’ bed and 90K miles for $4K. It had been in an accident, so he put another $4K into it. So he basically paid $8K for his Tundra. He now has 170K miles and it still runs like new. He told me that he’ll keep it until it’s completely worn out. It’s a bit rough body wise because it’s a work truck, but mechanically it’s in perfect condition. They have an older Lexus with the 4.7 V8 and they have a gazillion miles on it. In a few years they’ll give it to their son for his first car and I’m sure if he doesn’t wreck it, it’ll be passed down to their other 2 kids. He told me that they’ll buy a 24 or older 4Runner for his wife after they give their son the Lexus.

That sounds like an awesome plan they have. And what a steal on the wrecked Tundra! I’m sure next time gas prices jump up 40% you’ll be able to find these things at a really affordable price. I have no need for a full size but I do like the 5.7 Tundras. 😁

I Loved our 2010 Tundra 4WD Access cab with the 5.7L V8, but we couldn’t afford 8 mpg city and 15 mpg on the highway. I sure do LOVE my 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab , long bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs. At 315 horsepower and 295 lb ft of torque at 2,300 RPM, while getting 21.9 mpg at 86 mph.

Oh I bet, those and the Titans with the 5.6 were stout when they first came out! It’s funny that Toyota and Nissan then literally never updated or truly modernized them again haha. I miss my 2017 3rd gen Tacoma, but I’m still happy to drive Subarus since I’ve never had a lemon experience.

I like this vehicle, but I have concerns about the long-term durability of the wet timing belt. I've seen reviews of other Chevy cars that have this type of belt, like the Chevy Onix, and it seems they start to break around 50,000 miles.

I grew up with mazda, my 2012 mazda 3 got destroyed this year, then I bought a crosstrek and drove it for a bit but then hail destroyed that. I went back to mazda cx30 because it's so much fun to drive. The crosstrek is better off road but I needed a commuting car more than something off road as I live in the city with smooth roads. The crosstrek was impressive but the cx30 was faster, which provides more confidence in passing highway situations but does have a smaller gastank. I have a bias mazda has always been more fun to drive. Also I like the smaller infotainment system. The subaru system is big and sluggish

Just for the record I actually filmed this video back in February! And while I don’t remember what I said since that was 4 months ago, I do want credit for claiming this as the most reliable truck. Especially since many of the new 3.4 V6 TT Tundra engines have been recalled! That is all. 🤪

We have a 23 Forester Sport and we've already taken it through the dust storms in New Mexico to the mountains near San Diego. We also went through Texas and down to Orlando. The Sport has served well and is a great vehicle. It's awd safe and looks better than the crv and rav.

In another video, you mentioned that the first thing you do is turn off the auto start/stop feature. I must have missed that in this video. Is there a hard key for that, or is it buried in the on-screen menu? I didn't see any switches over the left knee other than the headlight panel dimmer. Sure would be nice if there was a way to turn it off for 100 start cycles or something longer term but not quite so long to conflict with the spirit of intended reduction in fuel comsumption.
@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 2 сағат бұрын
Now that you ask I question where it was lol. I think it was just in the lower screen or somewhere that’s not difficult to get to. I don’t think I pushed it on camera because it was off camera when I would start the vehicle and then get it prepared to drive in that portion of the video. I like that idea, hopefully they offer something like that down the road!

I basically do 3 type of car videos. 1). Straight to the point 15-19m long legit car reviews. 2). Somewhat impromptu driving reviews where I overlay body footage. And 3). Time wasting chatter mixed with subjective thoughts and opinion updates on my own vehicles or whatever topic I’m providing an update about. Which usually also answer or discuss a number of the questions my regular viewers ask or talk about. Thanks for giving it a try even if my styles not for you. 🤷‍♂️🤪

I’m sure they’ll bring out another Wilderness trim level like they are on the new Forester. But it seems like Wilderness trim levels are just late to the party when they finally come to production. I see that the majority of the vehicles that you’ve shown are dark, gloomy death like, which people look at because that’s how they view life in general. Nothing Bright and Cheerful, just drab and how people in general perceive life. I’m old enough to see the change. I remember when vehicles had cheerful colors both in their homes and their vehicles. Yes as a retired Mental Health Therapist I see the changes in the way people see their lives now and in the future

I’m sorry but at those prices, they can keep their vehicles. Most automakers have priced themselves out of the market. Because of the Inflation of the Communist Biden administration, people are afraid that they can’t afford to pay for a new vehicle. People are thinking about a roof over their heads, groceries, utilities etc

@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Күн бұрын
I honestly have no idea haha. From what I see on the forums and hear about it appears the engines are bulletproof and very well sorted out. And 99% of people have no issues with their CVT. The problem is ‘if’ the CVT does fail outside of warranty it’s 2x the price it should be to replace. I have no idea why. With that said there’s plenty of people with 200-300k miles on their Subarus. 🤷‍♂️🤪

It’s a double edge sword for sure, but at least you don’t have to worry about this silly synchros flaw. Yup! But horrible overall air quality and DA. Turbo engines are still down in power, just not as bad as an NA engine. My best time ever in my own personal OBW was a 6.29 true time or 6.03 without roll out. It was on a 40 degree day, but DA was still over 3,000’ above sea level. This low 7s was probably about the worst one I’ve seen haha.

I got the same car but 2024- extremely worth every penny. Had all windows tinted here in South Carolina… went with Xpel Plus ceramic nano tint.. which blocks 99% UVs. I went with 70% windshield, 20% front sides, 45% back sides and 35% hatch…. Which gives a even flow of tint with exception to windshield. Do you know if there is button to have side mirrors fold in rather than manually push them in when parked in tight spaces? Thanks and nice video
