Needing no introduction, Autopsy have been a pioneering death metal band for 36 years now.
They’ve influenced a generation of bands with their brutal, unhinged brand of violent, grotesque death metal with classic releases like Mental Funeral and Severed Survival. The band’s new record, Ashes, Organs, Blood and Crypts, follows last year’s acclaimed Morbidity Triumphant, and features brutal bouts of riffery feral attacks, soul crushing doom and all out skull splitting heaviness.

Autopsy never disappoints! I'm stoked to listen to the new Suffocation album next week. In the meantime, Bacterial Husk from Boston released their debut LP Anthropogenic Ruin. It's really good death metal 🤘🔥

Really fast turnaround, last year's album was really decent. Love their slower riffs, but glad they don't live there too long. Great review! Looking forward to the review of Suffocation next month!

Great review Riley! Your excitement is contagious, hope there's lots more to come :D One thing seems off to me - such a high score with half of the album being noticeably less good for you. I enjoyed the album quite a bit, might even listen to it again, which would be a first for me with Autopsy lol Also, good luck with the move to the UK :)

I used to write the AUTOPSY website, it's funny to have seen Danny still has my old dm band's sticker on his guitar - whats left of it - bloody nice chaps let me tell ya. Hail from the UK, guys. Riley get your ass up to Liverpool, one of the first festering grounds of UK's death metal birthplace. We can hang OAT together. Haha. couldnt resist.

Thanks for the review. Thinking the second half isn't as good as the first is perhaps due the thing we've all had where you get excited by an album on first listen and then you tire of the style and start thinking about listening to something else. But rest assured Autopsy fans, this album is class.
