I drive a JCW with JCW pro exhaust my self, but most of the time i drive in comfort with exaust flap open. You got the great sound of the pro exaust and less pops and bang and less speaker sounds.

Use bimmercode and and an obd-II device, I turned off ASD. Just pure JCW Pro exhaust.

I think by now they need to change the angle of the windscreen. I had a gen one new shape and forver getting stones hit it . Plus would visually shorten the stretched nose.

I've owned newest LCI2 JCW with Aisin 8-speed for 8 months now and I do like this car, even though it has it's flaws. It is true, it's not a hardcore hot hatch anymore - stock sound is average and it could use a little bit more power from factory. It's quite fast, but it does not feel that quick in action. As for pops/bangs, newest LCI2 has them cut out, so You'd appreciate that. There is a simple solution to this 'problem' of compromise in character, though. After 6 months I've removed OPF and remapped the car. Now it has 287hp/394nm and does 100-200 in 12 seconds dead (I'm not really sure about 290hp in tested car). It's really fast, sounds great with removed OPF and handles better with wider 225/40/18 tyres.. but at the same it's decently built, has a very nice interior and cruises nicely using 8th gear on highway. Stock is compromised, but with few simple mods You can create a real hot hatch, while retaining mentioned above comfy stuff, that no other small hot hatch offers.

I have an LCI2 2022 jcw, and no one seems to be able to tune it because of the locked ecu. Did you unlock it with femtoevo?

@@SilverDevil07 Yep, tuning company sent my ECU to Femto - Femto charges 850 euro for unlocking, so quite a bit. Cant tune it without that.

@@Topal92 Cheers mate, it's as i feared. By the way you made some pretty accurate points on your original comment. I would only add lowering springs to make the appearance a tad bit more aggressive. Either way enjoy your mini!

I own the second LCI JCW and I guess it feels much better than the first F Series cars. Also the 8 Speed auto Gearbox fits better than the 6 speed automatic

The 8 speed is kinda garbage.. i had the pre lci jcw with the 6 speed auto and its way more "meaningful" for a car like this. I bought the new lci jcw last year and this 8 speed gearbox really struggles in lower gears😂 on the highway its perfect, in the city its a pain in the ass😂

@@_-4753 Hmm 🤔 I’m looking at a 2022 JCW Mini. I want the automatic but I wasn’t so sure on the transmission. Is it a Dual clutch? Or just a standard auto?

@@Justiceforall2C it indeed is. The thing is that BMW didn't have a DCT that could handle that much power and was compact enough back then. At least, that's from what I know. I might add, that personally I like the traditional one more.

I own a jcw r56 with the full jcw specs jcw sport suspension gp2 exhaust 6 piston gp2 brakes etc.. I'd say having the previous r53 jcw and driving the f series the r56 is the best out of the bunch... Although I do miss the supercharger

I had a r56 jcw (n18), the real one with 211hp, the only issue with this car was the lack of an LSD, and also way too much torque steering. (And of course it’s not the most reliable car). Other than that the car was super enjoyable to drive and also to look at. Also something that the f series I really missing is the optional recall seats that was also including the leather and alcantara dashboard.

I work at Mini and got to drive quite a few of those JCW pro cars. As you said, it’s fun but like for 15 minutes. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t pop that much when you’re not in sport mode tho.

Shouldn't pop on normal mode but, throttle response won't be good as sport mode.

Wij hebben 2 F56’s jcw’s waarvan 1 met een pro uitlaat en ik rijd meestal met de klep dicht want het is veel te luid en klinkt heel blikkerig.

Just 1 average person (75 kilo) will add +/- 0.4 sec to the 100-200 time..

This car weighs around 1500kg, so 75kg (average person) would only be a 5% weight increase, not enough to really impact performance, especially on this tuned car that has more HP and torque

@@antonis5999 I tested it myself with 100-200 runs with Dragy and a friend of mine.. Both in a 2014 BMW Z4 35is (380HP) and a 2017 BMW 440i (430HP).. The difference in both cars was +/- 0.4 sec.. I think it will not be much different for this Mini with slightly less weight but also less HP..

@@LutzMir It's the same B48 engine. The suspension is stiffer and more aggressive (sits 10mm lower), so driving comfort is horrible. It's honestly one of the least comfortable cars I've ever drove, if you get a chance try driving a R56 or F56 and compare it yourself. It's essentially a F56 with stiffer suspension and a body kit. Everything that sucks about the F56 (no manual, stiff ride, flat engine..) is the same or worse on the GP3. You also only have 1 drive mode in the GP3 so if anything it's a functional downgrade

@@xen.7140 it’s a track car and if you really drive it hard it comes alive. The engine is a B48, but not identical to the one in the JCW. Its purpose is not to be comfortable or practical. It’s also very friendly to modification.

I hate pops and bangs. Never will understand the appeal for it. They sounded good on old rally cars, but on cars like this, or similar, they just sound obnoxious and artificial. And the fact on this car they’re constant, I’d honestly want no more than a 30 minute drive in that car.

How are minis unreliable.. They're like 2 or 3rd in the relibablity charts.. They've even managed to mitigate the BMWs unreliability and helped them climb into the overall top 5...

I've owned an f56 JCW for 6 years now, and the only issue I have had with it, is the radiator got punctured by a stone on the motorway. Car has been nothing short of reliable...and I rag the living shit out of it.

the F series is very reliable with the B48 engine and Aisen/ZF transmissions. R-series 2007-2014 had the N14 and N18 engines which are considered one of the least reliable engines ever made
