I disagree about the key - it is awesome. Slim Line, never bulky in your pocket.

Underrated car. Looks great.

This car looks and feels like a truly funky, stylish and premium product, as opposed to the drab Audi Q2.

The French are knocking out some funk looking cars.

Why no mention of the 5year guarantee on Renault cars surely a good selling point and good PEACE OF mind feature

We rented a reno captur, we are amazed how nicely stilled and all off the tech elements.

I own a 2015 model which looks fab from the outside, drives well, is well equipped and cheap to run but the interior quality lets it down. This new one on the other hand looks AWESOME on the inside and the dash looks SO COOL. I'd love one when I trade mine in.

I unsubscribed to Doug "the quirky" Demuro and am now following you .. you have a more realistic review on vehicles and you seem like a genuine person.

Similar issue with previous Captur on takeoff due to dual clutch. However, once you get used to it, I have found it is less of an issue. I don’t think it is a deal breaker. Really like the new changes and can’t wait to take it for a test drive. We have no issues with the old one and it is an easy car to live with. Great job Renault!

Another excellent video, good to watch a decent well pitched review. I think that key design was started with the Laguna II back in the early 2000s. Always like the way that Renault pack in a lot of tech for your money.

Great review but as this car is mainly purchased by families, it would be useful if you make the review attaching a baby car seat (They take huge amount of space) and a pram in the boot. (Main reason I am looking for a new car) :)

Drove the plug-in hybrid version for 2,000km in Iceland, great performance and economy and overall hugely practical and fun.

Car is sluggish due to automatic gear box, not an issue on the manual version. Rory missed an important point here the car shown is the top spec model s edition so all the bells and whistles. Why is there no mention on pricing?

I have the capture with a manual box..not sluggish at all..i did so far 4000km, including driving to Greece from Germany and back..really nice car, very happy with it. The emergency breaking saved me twice in Italy..the car stoped before my foot hit the break pedal...the 7 hour drive from my house in Germany to Ancona in Italy was a piece of cake..very comfy seats. I dont understand why all cars should be sport cars..anyway..it is a nice car, practical and a looker indeed..

The Captur is a car with so much French flair that you either like for its funkiness or hate for being too much French. I think its really cool especially in the two tone colour paintwork and I totally agree with Rory Reid-its a good compact cross over. However, by looking at the front headrests, you'd probably think you are in a Volvo-some imitation there. Thanks Rory for your fair, objective, informative and mostly entertaining reviews.

I drove this car today, it is sooooo lush

On the engine being slow pulling away , Are u possibly talking about the automatic gearbox and not the engine ,The manual gearbox car has no problems pulling away briskly, then on to handling ,I think this is journalist speak for driving on the edge, if u look at the number of wrecked pumas compared to capturs ,most people wouldn't complain about the captur ,infact if u want your fillings to fall out get the puma ,fords idea of handling is rock solid suspension, on reliability I think the 1.3tce will out live any ecoboost

Love the design... one of the better looking CUVs now on the market. Wish they sold it here in the US. Renault is improving their lineup every generation and making many of them far more desirable than some of VWs offerings. I still think Cupra is top of the class in looks. Those cars are gorgeous even with the new silly logo that looks like a super-hero insignia from a comic book that no one buys.

Renault design direction is fabulous, all their cars look great these days imo..

gonna trade in my clio gt gt (grandtour for the motor 120 PS, 2nd grandtour because its a mini combi) for a Capture with 155 Ps. Iam so stoked when it will arrive. 35.000€ automatic, leather, all assistance and glas roof that can be open. Everything i ever wanted from a car.

It's an improvement on the older model, however I do prefer the Juke out of the two, although neither are great or best in class just now.

I can’t decide between this car or the Skoda Kamiq 🤔 I absolutely love the captures technology but the Skoda boot space is very impressive 😬 anyone have this capture? I here’d that Renault have improved their reliability and quality recently otherwise I’d of NEVER considered a Renault I always wanted a Kia Sportage but this capture looks like it tops the sportage by a good few miles 🤷‍♀️ would love some genuine reviews though?

Hey Rory, will you please tell us about its sound system, for example what make its using, how many speakers and bass, if any...because theres us audiophiles who just want to buy a car with good sound aswell as the other features and comfort. :)

Bought a Renault Megan sport back in 2008 it was built like tank, but didn't ride like one and it was fast as hell,

I have the 2020 model and my only problem I have with the car compared to my old 2014 model, is the ECO mode, every time you start the engine, you have to go through the options to switch Eco mode on, especially when doing a lot of in town driving.

if they make new Kadjar and Koleos as good as this Capture improvement now that will be best sellers also.

Hate watching a review to find no mention of how many models in the range and no pricing structure....

Most people that will drive this car cannot drive like Rory so can't enjoy a fantastic handling car like it can be enjoyed. That is why they will buy a Renault Captur and be over the moon with it.

Its really sad to see that Renault discontinued Captur in India.

I was torn between this or the Peugeot 2008 GT Line, I chose the Peugeot, but the Captur is a nice looking car!!

Its not just a Tweak and a new front, its all new built on a brand new platform.

Also worth mentioning are the fantastic rear drum brakes. Frankly, I can't believe that!

Renault is smashing it over the last few years

I like the design both exterior and interior but sadly resale value and engine reliability are terrible here in Malaysia.

Just hired this for a few days, the most dangerous feature is that slow response to acceleration. Almost out me in several dangerous situations- they need to fix this issue. There is either a very slow gradual acceleration or an instant and fast one after 1-2 seconds of your foot going down. Seriously bad. Don’t recommend for that reason but otherwise a nice little car.

Missing sliding armrest in front & rear leg space issue

I know this was 3 years ago, but was looking at them as a used buy. Might sound odd, but drum brakes on every model at the rear is a deal breaker for me. Even the crappiest cheap hatch has safer and more efficient disk brakes all round.

There’s too many gears, before you get to 45 mph it’s saying change to 6 th gear. The spacing is too close you can change up 2 gears at once easily enough.

For the first time ever we see a man that is confident admitting he is 5'11.

It looks really cool. Purposeful and sporty, even butch. But for me, it really needs to have a lot more 'go' to compliment all that 'show'. I'll wait for the Renaultsport version... or probably go for the Puma ST when that comes out.
