It never ceases to amaze me the people (some YTube influencers included) that think sunscreen is terrible for the skin. I can’t even with this type of opinion. I doubt anyone with pre cancer or skin cancer or any skin changes would agree with them. I was just viewing a certain influencer over 50 who said she never ever wore sunscreen. I could kind of tell at the surface, but I can’t imagine the damage beneath the surface.

PS: The warmth you're looking for in a fragrance is actually an older one - Tom Ford White Suede. Classic, warm, sexy and a fur coat by the fire with some fine cognac. And someone you love!

Gemma, my favorite winter fragrance is Caron’s Tabac Blond, a very incense-y, warm, sexy perfume. And although it’s a different scent profile, in colder weather I also like Serge Lutens’ Daim Blond. Both provide great sillage; classic French perfumers know how to create that wonderfully classy fragrance “wake.”

I absolutely love the YSL foundation, I’m on my second bottle now! My favourite perfume at the moment and I own ALOT of high end perfumes is Zara’s Dubai perfume…it smells incredible and expensive and it’s not!! I always get asked what I’m wearing when I wear this xxx

Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle!! Amber, clove, dark wood, vanilla,. I believe it would be right up your alley. SEXY SEXY winter fragrance …I wear it every fall and winter for 10 years… People stopped me all the time and asked me what I’m wearing. If you like the milk bold from commodity, this is going to be right up your alley however, it has a little bit more clove to it and warmth… I suggest that you check out some of the companies that give you small Decants to try before purchasing(like Scent split, surrender to chance, or the perfumed court ) play too, love commodity, both the milk and the gold fragrances so this falls right into line, but is Uber sexy

Have you ever tried a make up brand called The Essence? It is really cheap and I think they have some fantastic products. I have sensitive skin and oddly cannot use makeup that is directed for sensitive skin but Essence is brilliant. Give it a go.

Really excited about the new Ordinary product (Soothing and Barrier Support Serum)....have you tried it under foundation? I try to put very little on my skin after masking and this sounds like a perfect addition. Also, that Dermatica Restoring Ceramide Skin Balm is going to make into everyone's stocking!!!! We all get a very raw, flaky nose during allergy season. Thank Gemma!!!! P.S. What lippie are you wearing, love the color and finish.

I don't own this one but it came in one of those flip paper samples when I ordered at Macy's last, it is Prada Paradoxe Intense. It has some amber notes, it is luscious. It's a bit sweeter than I typically go for but it certainly has a worm cozy sophisticated vibe. I'm funny with fragrance and will be getting a sample of this one. Each year, my adult kids and I go and pick out one luxuary fragrance for under the tree (we've been doing this for 15 years now). It's a wonderful holiday tradition). But try Prada Paradoxe Intense, let me know what you think.

Help please I’ve started to get loads of milia all around eyes. I’ve used oil cleanser for years, could it be this? I’ve also started using my moisturiser over eyes, could it be this? Could it be my Nars concealer? How would I find a trustworthy professional to remove them? Leeds uk

Millia can be caused when you use too many rich products and oils around the eye area. It's unlikely to be your oil cleanser, however, it might be your moisturiser. I would go and see a Dermatologist x

I love the Isntree spf because it’s one of the few that doesn’t pill under makeup for me. Unfortunately I am very heat sensitive and I’m finding even though it doesn’t feel heavy as I’m applying, after I’ve rubbed it in it feels like a very occlusive mask and I get hot flashes. And it leaves me very shiny and sticky so I just feel very sweaty and gross before I even get started. It happens with many other spfs but I was hoping it wouldn’t with such a good formula. 😩

@@iwillstom You might want to get a hormone panel done, sounds like more of a perimenopause symptom than a SPF.

@@mtngrl5859 I don’t believe this specific issue is perimenopause. I’ve had the same heat intolerance since my teens and 20s. And the “hot flash” is absolutely a result of applying occlusive creams that interfere with the body’s cooling system. From Quora - Occlusion: Moisturizers and sunscreens are often formulated to create a protective barrier on the skin, which can help lock in moisture and provide sun protection. However, this occlusive effect can also limit the evaporation of sweat from the skin, leading to a feeling of increased sweating.

Hi kids 🎉 to add to Gemma’s comments on sun block- the different rays from the sun are also replicated indoors - so there can be gradual sun damage from electric lights, computer screens and phones. The only time you don’t need sunblock is at night 😊
