Today I decided to just hang out on the couch with my blue throated macaw Jinx and my project blue throated macaw Ava. I was so surprised to see the way they interacted!

Capri really knows body language. If she thinks Ava won't accept her attention, I'm sure she's right.

I msgd yourself around 6or 7 months ago about a rescue cag i got. Following your video's i had a massive breakthrough where my cag now comes to me and let's me pet her all by being patient and doing permission based training which i learned from your videos. You're fantastic with birds and it shows, thank you so much for doing what you do, it is honestly helping so many people and birds ❤

I used to watch your videos all the time , and this is the first one I’ve clicked on in years .. (bad KZfaq algorithm lol) Capri is so big, and growing to be such a pretty girl! As a fellow momma I’m sure you’re so proud of how well she does with the birds, I’m so impressed! You’re doing such a good job 👏🏻

yay sucess. gives me hope that one day I will be able to have all of my birds out at the same time without the indian ringneck wanting to kill my african grey

As soon as I opened the video....The WHOLE room felt relaxed. All the girls hanging out with quiet energy was the vibe I saw. Maybe that’s what the birds felt also. Be interesting to see the next “encounter”. Yes, put Jinx close to the other 2 parrots that he doesn’t get along with so he can cool his hormones.😂❤🎉❤

So far ever since the training session where Ava tried to dominate and take over the territory there was a definite shift. I agree, I think Ava was the one that tried to start issues not Jinx. She needs to be watched so she can't & won't attack Jinx. Especially if Jinx is near you. I did notice that Ava definitely did not like Capri putting her hands above her head. Capri was worried about a bite happening and I could see that as well. You have done an exceptional job with Jinx & Ava. Capri is also learning how to read their body language & I'm so proud of the progress she has made. It's going to take a little longer but, I do see it being successful with all the flock members being in the same space & getting along. Hopefully, Tusa & Comet will also come around & Jinx nor anyone else will try to attack each other. Good Luck 😊

Jamie- let them see if they can mate. That is the natural situation and it will definitely be amazing for you!!!

I was thinking they were beginning to want to snuggle together at the end. I need help training my two budgies. Piper and Pete. I’ve been watching your videos and going with your steps. Piper seemed to liked interaction but now doesn’t. Pete never has wanted any contact and doesn’t want out of the cage.

Was wondering what your thoughts are on Bird expo's. This one coming up they seem to have been around for quite awhile. Are these usually safe places to get a bird? I guess these days there is always the ability to check reviews of the vendors so I guess that "could be" a plus?

Is that capris friend? I can feel the tensionnn between the ppl not the birds. It’s always awkward letting friends interact with pets!

I've just discovered your videos because I think Macaws are epically cool. Your videos are awesome and very originally informative. It's a pleasure watching your channel. i would love to own one of these incredible species but being a musician with many instruments and a recording studio in my home I'm afraid I would lose thousands of dollars in gear damage because they would think my instruments are their toys ! So, for now, I'll vicariously live my Parrot owning fantasy through you !!! Thank you so much. 🦜

Will jynx and ava respond to slight of hand magic tricks at a high intelligence level

jamie what is the chance when you introduce the two blue throat back into the flock that jinx becomes territorial over ava
@BirdTricksАй бұрын
Great question! There is always a risk that the dynamics of their relationship could shift or with Jinx's history in the flock dynamic, that this could lead to more aggression towards the camelots. Managing flock dynamics in general can be ever changing and something that causes one to go back to the drawing board to figure out ways to help keep the peace.

Day 1 of asking for a small natural (8 toy bundle) box ( of YOUR toys) PLEASE 🥺 I have bought the tiny toy box 2 times but my birds go through them so quickly!

Not interested in letting them have a clutch? That's alot of extra work and future space needed though.
