Thanks! We designed it to be intuitive. There is plenty of complexity in the rest of home theater and smart home technology. AVA sells through AV pros because AV pros specialize in AV technology. The alternative of direct-to-consumer results in extensive customer support, high return rates, and customer dissatisfaction...which has been the demise of many direct-to-consumer offerings. Pros who specialize in AV systems build experience and expertise with each install they do over many years. The result is high success rates and good customer experiences.

Hey, Sebastian: There are a couple ways to go about this support. The best way would be to request the driver at workswith.ava.com so that AVA OS and Dynamic Keypad natively supported it. I do see one KEF driver in the system already ("KEF LS50 Wireless AUDIO"). Secondarily, you can also run KEF's app on Cinema Remote. That's not quite as good because Dynamic Keypad would not be supported, but you'd still have the full capabilities of their app. Hit us with clarifying questions, if any of that is not immediately clear.

@@Henk717 I see. Here's a bit more background. AVA remote controls require a Google Account in order to use the Play Store for updates. AVA OS is packaged into an Android app, which enables us to deliver new features to owners on a regular basis. Play Store access also allows you to use apps like Ring or Sonos directly on an AVA remote. Once you have set up an AVA Remote, it works without an Internet connection, but you won't get updates from the Play Store until the device has an Internet connection.

@@Henk717 I see. Here's some more info. You do not need the Google Account or connectivity to use the Cinema Remote. You do need it to *set up* the Cinema Remote. We deliver updates to AVA OS by packaging it into an Android app that we host on the Play Store. That allows us to deliver new features and capabilities on a regular basis. But for a user who just wants to set up a remote and use it as is, you do not need to keep the remote connected to the Internet or Google. Beyond the capabilities of AVA OS, Play Store access also allows other apps to update on AVA remote controls. For example, two of the most popular apps on our remotes are the Sonos app and the Ring app. Both of these get installed and updated from the Play Store.
