I have a water osmosis filter system hooked to my new Avalon bottleless water dispenser. I have well water. The water dispenser has its own filters as well. It has removed all the great water taste from my water. The water filters in the water dispenser got to go. I will show you how to bypass it. No more trips to water refill store.

SOLVED : I was having the same issue with the top of the tank blowing off and water spilling everywhere, the issue is that the shut off valve/gate was being bypassed, so the float in the tank would rise but it wouldn't shut off the water. If you look at the filters from the back, you will see 2 small cubes that have electrical wires going to them. This is where the shut off valves are, so you need to keep these in line, or as part of the water line going into the tank.

@iammrhappy12 Originally yes, once I kept them "in line" it worked and has been working ever since.

@iammrhappy12 still uses the solenoids. Each filter has an inlet and outlet. All you are doing is hook a short hose bridging the inlet to outlet to allow water to flow thru each section.

Hello. I just bought this unit and bypassed the filters like you did in the video. I'm having the same issue as some other people with the tank overflowing and water spilling out inside the unit. Did anyone figure out how to fix this? I have a RO unit before it goes to the dispenser so I don't want to add the filters in if possible.

You must have missed a step. It has been a while. I believe there are a couple of electric shut-off valves by the filters that will shut the water off when the reserve tank is full. You're just bridging the two filters with the hoses. Everything you don't touch. There's another view having the same issue but later fixed by redoing the hose connections. Try to look at the prior comments. see if you can find it and reach out to him.

I have a strange question but it will help me to know how the machine operates: Will it dispense even if it's not plugged in? Thanks

The water line is pressurized and the water dispenser buttons are mechanical. Yes, without power, the machine will dispense water. No hot water and Soon or later the cold water would run out. Meaning all three levers will dispense room temperature water since there is no electricity to heat or cool the water.

Hi, I did the bypass. However, when I turn on the water, all the water leaks from the water tank, did that happen to you also

Those plastic hoses must be pushed all the way in then snap the blue clips on. Check end of the hose make it's round and not damaged.

I'd love to see how the connections work. Instead of just walking us through WHAT you did, I'd like to see HOW you did it. But other than that, it was a good video.

It should be quite simple. You got a water inlet. In the middle contains your filter system and couple of electronic sensors in the back. If your unit is the same then here is how you bypass the filters. First, water inlet comes from back to the bottom sensor then up to the back electronic sensor by the inlet. Then to the 2nd sensor, from sensor it go to the top. Done. I added a shut off valve on the hose between 2nd sensor to the top allowing me to turn off the water if needed.

I did this exact hook-up this week. But, as soon as I turn on the water supply and hear the tanks begin to fill, after about 30 seconds everything starts to overflow from the top, draining down inside the unit. This is with the power plugged-in, and unplugged. Same exact result. Everything works perfectly before bypassing the filters. Wish I could attach a picture of my hookup but looks like KZfaq doesn't let me do that. Anyone else having a similar issue? If I reconnect everything back to factory default, it works fine again.

The hookup connections must be wrong. Just imagine you got a hose with a filter in the middle. You just remove the filter and now put a coupler to join the hoses back together. There is sensor triggering telling when to shut the water off. Its not triggering on yours. Maybe you bypass the shut off valve incorrectly. Check you hoses again and visualize how everything should connect together to have the flow and shut off when the tank is full.

Don't recall all the connections at the moment. I thought it's in the video showing how to bypass it.

It seems that way. I wonder why. I just pass the filters by basically bridging it with a hose. I never have the overfill problem.

I did the bypass. I'm also using the RO system. For some reason, it's not filling up the inner water dispenser tank. So no water can be dispensed. Have you encountered that problem? Possibly the dispenser is defective? I checked each section of the connectors, so the valves are working. When water goes up into the tank, it just stops filling up.

I think when i first hooked it up, I got the same issue of no water coming out. I have been a while but I think it has something to do with how you hooked up the hoses. Especially at the valve where there are electrical wires. Double check there. Try to disconnect the hose go to tank and chanel it to empty bucket. This way when you started to rearrange the hoses, you can see water coming out.

Last option. You can always put it back where it's supposed to hook up with the filters. Then you will know whether its defective or not. I think it has to do with the electric controlled valves. They are not opened. Just disconnect a section at a time to see how far the water will travel and until it's not. Then you know where the issue is.

@@tonedubb4325 very likely it's the solenoid valve. There are 2 of them. I disconnected the hose after the 2nd solenoid and no water came out. Yesterday it had water coming out. So maybe solenoid is defective?

Not necessarily. The solenoid valves activate by something right? Maybe need to push the water on bottom on top. Maybe the tank has a sensor to tell the solenoid to activate. Check those first
