Thank you for the video, guys! It was great to see some of the new characters in action. I wonder if a short 2-3 minute overview of the game might also be worthwhile? I'd be worried that new players might get turned off if they think they have to watch a 45 minute video to learn to play the game.

Love this! I wasn't a fan initially of the Nemesis War Brood but after seeing the Queen and The Festering Honor Gaurd in action I can't wait to get them on the table. I do wish though that the FHG were designed to work with Braxas the original Queen of 'Scape. At the end you were joking about next time, I hope it's sooner rather than later looking forward to seeing the Glide Strikers and Air Marshall Zed Nesbitt fight the Ironclad Collective with the Helforge Manduker. Hopefully we'll also see those trees next time too.

Loving these bears. It's a shame Patrick got screwed by such an early chest burster. I think the bears could have pulled it out if Adelbern had lasted longer.

I think a good marketing campaign is the key to success. Obviously the fan websites are interested but I think spreading the word to the whole table top community is essential

Scape is my favorite game of all time, but for clarification it's NOT an RPG - it's a miniatures skirmish game. There are plenty of lore and themed scenarios, but the game in no way involves role-playing.

46 army cards and 71 miniatures isn't much unit-wise? That's like several years of expansions in classic Heroscape.

@@michaelchadwick1820 $250 is a steep ask for new players and even some returning players like myself. The Heroscape $100 tier came with 76 miniatures and everything needed to play the board game, as well as the all in tier at $150 which gave you the base game, two expansions, and a bunch of unlocked stuff. So well over 100 miniatures, extra scenarios, pieces and cards for only $150. If they want this to get off the ground they need to restart it and have a version that has more parity with the original box. So $100 for 30 miniatures, some terrain, and a handful of walls/trees to add some extra visual splash to the boards. It might be a good price comparing it to the original game and the first few expansion waves, but that's not what brand new people are going to think. They see a miniatures game that is starting at the higher end of the spectrum, at a price that is actually as expensive if not more expensive than even Games Workshop's starters.

Although I'll make a minor quibble that the price per mini is much better than GW starter sets and that's not even including HeroScape's superior terrain (and the larger quantity of it in this set than in any GW set). At the beginning of the campaign they made it pretty clear that there will be no second try and no change to the essential structure of the offering. They have made many improvements around the edges. I think the AH team has constraints given to them by Hasbro that limit their options, which is a big bummer. I'm hoping this set funds because 1) it really is an awesome set with good value for the price and 2) they'll release smaller sets to retail that are more affordable for people that couldn't buy this set. The game will continue to grow if the set funds; if it doesn't, then back in the vault it goes indefinitely.

@@shakezula3794 6 if you count the exclusive. But that's okay; Heroscape is not a symmetrical game. Those 6 models are an equal match for a whole mess of pirates, Dryan, combine, or brood. I have played them several times using the beta cards they released and they are a potent army.

I'm an avid heroscape fan...I just found this video. Why didn't you all do any serious marketing? There was nothing on any of the gaming forums I follow.... And I didn't hear anything from any of my convention friends either... I feel like more marketing would have helped. I'm sad to see that this hasn't been funded. Out of curiosity--are you still going to sell game pieces? Because honestly, terrain is where it's at. Everyone needs a ton of terrain.

Hasbro purposefully didn't give enough advertising because they believed the brand name would have secured enough funds from their fanbase. But as always, Hasbro got greedy and decided to hike up the backing price all while pinching pennies from marketing.

@@predator5775 Yeah, and it's sad, because I've been waiting 10 years for this, only for me to find out after it's already been torpedo'd by bad decisions by Hasbro. Like...they could have just made a proper line of things with proper advertising, and it would have made money. But no....just sad. I still want me some of that sweet new terrain.

Height advantage is always based on where the bases of the figures are relative to each other. However, sometimes people forget height advantage and things like that. It happens even to experienced players sometimes.

This stuff looks awesome , just need to modify the card symbols or bring back the old. I think to push the campaign, they need include some of those stretch goals as part of the regular package for $250 with maybe Drake and Raelin a only being the stretch goals of 9k,11k. They need to create another funding level package, remove the jungle and stretch goals figures and stuff included with vanguard and reduce price to $150

We don't know yet, they haven't revealed what glyphs will be in the set. That leads me to believe there will be a couple new ones though.

@@tedshinn792 From what they've shown, the glyphs all have red backsides, so I'd say it's not likely we'll see treasure glyphs this time. I love them though, so hopefully we'll see some in the future if we fund!
