Thank you for being you Gaz, and much thanks to your mom & team. Keep doing what you do - inspiring humanity with your grounded passion. Keep listening to the nature surrounding you, the flora and fauna; and continue to follow the light that’s in your heart. It’s a beacon of hope and beauty. Where others are noisy and imbalanced, you bring peace and harmony. You are a gift from the stars ✨ and a gift from Mother Earth 🌍. Where you lead, many listens. You have the world learning from you, being inspired by you, and appreciating life with Mother Earth. Thank you. ❤

It was already in my mind, but since I started watching your videos, I have been growing food on my rooftop terrace. I have already harvested spinach, physalis, and aromatic herbs. We will soon have peppers (from an island called La Palma), tomatoes, hokaido pumpkins, carrots, and maybe next year, some passion fruit. Thanks for being such an inspiration. My boyfriend and I are definitely dreaming of living in a larger house with a garden.

From someone with a house and a big veggie garden: the way your doing it is the best! Starting out smaller how to grow is not so overwhelming and you're not in danger of burning out your motivation! It's what I would recommend to everyone, don't wait for the garden, grow wherever you can (microgreens don't even need light). And learn how to cook and preserve your food before you also have spend so much time harvesting. Well done 🙌

Gaz, as you try to root the cutting, take out the flowers so the energy goes to growing the plant rather than fruiting. You may bury as much of the stem as possible in the soil as it will grow roots all along the stem. Beautiful homestead. Thank you for sharing.

Hey Gaz! Love your videos as always, just a farmer giving quick advice here, you don’t necessarily have to always prune the suckers off of tomatoes. There are determinate and indeterminate varieties. For determinate for example, they have a set amount of flowers that will turn into the fruit so you would want to leave as much suckers because those are the stems that create those flower clusters on determinate varieties as possible. I do agree though about pruning your indeterminates just to provide a bit more airflow and to create a cleaner, less bushy plant.

I am so happy listening to you say the things about growing and sitting on the earth 🌎 which I am too timid to say. Squash are, incidentally, such rich and easy additions. I personally grew red Kuri squash two years ago which were an absolute delight! Forest fire smoke from thousands of km away obscured the skies last summer and stunted all my plants. Hoping that this year they survive to produce.

LOVE your garden! Yes, more please! And I personally think you never have too many crookneck squash. They are a slightly sweet type of yellow zucchini - and are really nice in a savoury stir-fry - or stuffed and baked - and they are great in desserts. They are wonderful in zucchini bread (that not-too-sweet type of coffee cake loaf, aka "quick bread" so popular in America). ENJOY!

I’m really enjoying these gardening and foraging videos and am excited to see more of them in the future. Foraging looks like so much fun and I wish I was back in the country so I could take advantage of that. I remember buying a book to identify all sorts of herbs when I was much younger, to help with writing stories, but one day I hope to put it to use for a bit of foraging. I know short form videos are taking over-have been for a while I suppose- but these long form have plenty of value. Showing people what they can do for themselves, to be more self sustaining, is what we need more of. It’s rewarding/uplifting when you know how to take care of yourself/ your needs without relying on big companies. Anyhow, looking forward to future videos😌✌️

Love, Love Love your videos and recipes. I made my daughter the mushroom "swarma" and my gosh she loved it. She is a picky eater, so points to you for coming up with such a great recipe. Your garden is so lush and productive, so you must write an organic gardening book with photos from your garden and all your tricks of the trade to grow a bountiful yield of produce. Making fertile compost is not easy. Would love to know your recipe to produce large veggies. I also love it when you cook your recipes outside at your garden kitchen. Foraging for food is quite a talent. Good for you to go down this road. I also believe because you are such a happy and kind hearted soul your vegetables and fruits want to please you. They must pick up some great vibes from you when you are in the garden. Happy Growing and I look forward to more garden videos. Eat healthy!
