ആശയത്തിലും സ്റ്റെലിലും സ്വയം അനുകരിക്കാതെയാണ് പത്മരാജന്‍ എല്ലാ പടങ്ങളും സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത്. നമുക്കു പാര്‍ക്കാന്‍ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പുകള്‍, അപരന്‍, ഇന്നലെ, മൂന്നാംപക്കം, സീസണ്‍, ഞാന്‍ ഗന്ധര്‍വ്വന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ സിനിമകളിലൊക്കെ പത്മരാജനൊപ്പം വേണുവുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു സിനിമാറ്റോഗ്രാഫറായി. സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ മാത്രമല്ല, ആത്മ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുമായിരുന്നു അവര്‍. പത്മരാജനെന്ന കലാകാരനേയും സുഹൃത്തിനേയും കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുകയാണ് വേണു.

Famous people to be specific. People who claim to be progessives like mallu analyst etc avoid this topic. And earlier males did violence but now females too and also killing not just fight. None of the international stars who talk about toxic masculinity etc talk about languages/ dialogues,mannerisms etc and they never talk about the biggest problem in the society violence. I enjoy action movies, but if one want to talk about political correctness then cant be selective.

ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുന്നു...... 1998 , ഞാൻ 8ാം ക്ലാസിൽ പഠിക്കുന്നു..... ഒരു ദിവസം എന്റെ മൂത്ത ചേട്ടൻ വീട്ടിൽ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ദിവസം ,പുള്ളിയുടെ റൂമിൽ കയറി ഷെൽഫും പെട്ടിയും ഒക്കെ വെറുതെ പരത്തി , ഒരു രണ്ടു മൂന്നു കെട്ട് ഗ്രീറ്റിംഗ് കാർഡ് എഴുത്തുകളും കിട്ടി........ cards ഒക്കെ എടുത്തു നോക്കി.... നല്ല ഭംഗി ഉള്ള കുറെ കാർഡുകൾ...romance സൗഹൃദ ഒക്കെ ഇടകലർന്ന കാർഡുകൾ..... എഴുത്തുകൾ പലതും എടുത്തു വായിച്ചു നോക്കി........തിരികെ വെക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ഒരു മനോഹരമായ കൈയക്ഷരത്തിൽ to and from address എഴുതിയാൽ airmail കണ്ണിൽ തടഞ്ഞു, dated 1992 year ..... ...... തുറന്നു വായിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി...... സ്ഥിരം സുഖ അന്വഷണത്തിന് ശേഷം ഒരു വരി വിട് ....""മാന്നാർ തൊടി ജയകൃഷ്ണനെ കണ്ടു ""എന്നു തുടങ്ങി ഒരു വലിയ വിവരണം മുഴുവൻ വായിച്ചു..... ക്ലാര, രാധ , തങ്ങൾ, മഹി ,ഡേവിസ്. അങ്ങനെ കുറെ പേരുകൾ... അവരുടെ പ്രത്യേക തകൾ..... സംഭാഷണങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം കലർന്ന ഒരു total ബ്യൂട്ടിഫുൾ review( അന്ന് rewiew ആണ് എന്ന് അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു) ആ കത്തു വായിച്ചത് കഴിഞ്ഞു next day video ലൈബ്രറി പോയി കത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞ സിനിമ ചോദിച്ചു വാങ്ങി .."""തൂവാനത്തുമ്പികൾ"" ഒറ്റ ഇരുപ്പിൽ ഈ എട്ടാം ക്ലാസുകാരൻ ആ സിനിമ മുഴുവൻ കണ്ടു തീർത്തു......... അന്ന് മുതൽ ആണ് ആദ്യ മായി ക്ലാസ്സിക് സിനിമകലോട് പ്രണയം തോന്നിയത്....... പിന്നീട് ചേട്ടനോട് ചോദിച്ചു നല്ല സിനിമകളുടെ ലിസ്റ്റ് ready ആക്കി...... ഓരോ ആഴ്ചയും ഓരോ സിനിമയും കണ്ടു തീർത്തു....9th class vacation ടൈമിൽ ആണ് ഞാൻ ആ സത്യം മനസിലാകുന്നത് പുള്ളി പറഞ്ഞ സിനിമകൾ ഒക്കെ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് പദ്മരാജൻ എന്നു കക്ഷി ആണ് എന്ന്........ ഇന്ന് ഈ ക്ലാസിക് സിനിമകൾ കുറിച്ചു talk show ഒക്കെ കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ മരണമാസ്സ് ചേട്ടനെ കുറിച്ചു ഓർക്കുന്നു ........പുള്ളി 2 വർഷം മുൻപ് ഓർമകൾ മാത്രം എനിക്കു തന്ന് പുള്ളിയുടെ 52 വയസിൽ യാത്രയായി......

Well curated and candid coz of the way how Venu sir was responding to those questions, going by the way how the interviewer is asking it feels like she is way above all these legends. There is a certain way of respecting legends and which is clearly missing from the Interviewer !

യാതൊരു തടസ്സവും ഇല്ലാതെ ശ്രീ. വേണു നിലപാടുകളും അനുഭവങ്ങളും മനസ്സിലാക്കി തരുന്നു. ശ്രീ. പദ്മരാജൻ എന്ന എഴുത്തുകാരനും സിനിമ സംവിധായകനും എങ്ങിനെ ആയിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തന രീതികൾ എത്രത്തോളം ആഴത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നും മനസ്സിലാക്കി തരുന്നു.. ഞാൻ ഗന്ധർവ്വൻ എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ തന്നെ സിനിമട്ടോഗ്രാഫി തൃപ്തി വരാത്ത അവസ്ഥ തുറന്നു പറയുന്നു. ഇത് പോലെ തന്നെ "തൂവാനത്തുമ്പികൾ 'എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ സിനിമട്ടോഗ്രാഫി ചെയ്യാൻ ഇദ്ദേഹം സ്ഥലത്തിലായിരുന്നു.. ഇദ്ദേഹം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ കുറെ കൂടി visualise ചെയ്യാമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് ആയും ഓർക്കുന്നു. ശ്രീ. പദ്മരാജൻ കാലത്തിനു മുന്പേ സഞ്ചരിച്ച കലാ സൃഷ്ടികൾ മിനഞ്ഞെടുത്ത കലാകാരൻ.. ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആശയങ്ങളും ചിന്തകളും മതിയായി ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ പോയോ എന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ട അഭിപ്രായം. ഭിന്ന ആശയങ്ങൾ ഓരോ പടത്തിലും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കലാകാരൻ എന്നത് വില മതിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം.. ശ്രീ. വേണുവിന്റെ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ അറിവിന് മകുടം ചാര്ത്തുന്നു. ശ്രീ. പദ്മരാജന്റെ ഓർമകൾക്ക് മുമ്പിൽ കൂപ്പു കയ്യുമായി പ്രണാമം

Venu is so genuine. ഒരു ബാഹ്യ ജാടകളും ഇല്ല, casual talk പോലെ. തന്നേക്കാൾ 15 വയസ് എങ്കിലും കൂടുതലുള്ള പദ്മരാജൻ സാറിനെ, പേരെടുത്ത് വിളിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഒരു അസ്വാഭാവികത ആയി തോന്നിയത്. Anchor തീരെ പോര. ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്കൊന്നും ഒരു നിലവാരം ഇല്ല. ഇത് പോലെ ഒരു interview ന് മുമ്പ്, പദ്മരാജൻ, വേണു ഇവരെ കുറിച്ചൊക്കെ ഒന്നു അറിയാൻ ശ്രമിക്കണമായിരുന്നു.

The disrespect to our great actors Mohanlal and Thilakan sir is clearly evident in the way the Interviewer is talking ! Pathetic to say the least, how come such people are destined to take such interviews !

I watched the interview because of legendery Writer-Director Pathmarajan Sir and ace cinematographer Venu Sir. In that percepective,i didnt like those malayalam phrases used here.

Exactly watched the interview because of seeing those two names in thumpnail ! We do know who is Manila Mohan but there is a certain respect that should be shown while talking about legends and for that matter whoever it may be ... “Ee pulli engana aayrnu Padmarajan “? 😂 Mohanalalo ? Thilakan ?! What way of asking is that! Whoever she is learn to be down to earth always and be respectful, it is give and take respect ✊

Interview കണ്ട് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല അതിനു് മുൻപ് കമൻ്റിടാൻ തോന്നിയത് ഈ അവതാരകയുടെ നിലവാരമില്ലാത്ത ചോദ്യങ്ങളും സംസ്ക്കാരമില്ലാത്ത അഭിസംബോധനകളും കേട്ടിട്ടാണ് ... തോട്ടിറമ്പിൽ തൂറാനിരിയ്ക്കുന്നവർ പുല്ല് കടിച്ച് പിടിച്ച് പരദൂഷണം പറയുന്നത് ഞാൻ എൻ്റെ തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് ... വെളുപ്പാൻ കാലത്ത് പരസ്പരം അകലം പാലിച്ച് തുറനിരിയ്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ സംഭഷണം പോലെ തോന്നി

@@paulatreides6218 പലയിടത്തും ഭാഷാ പ്രയോഗങ്ങൾ പലതാണ്. ' പുള്ളി ' എന്നുള്ളതിന് സ്നേഹത്തോടെയുള്ള വിശേഷണം ഉള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകാം. എന്നാൽ ബഹുമാനം ഇല്ലാതെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പ്രയോഗമായും അത് മാറുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്. ഏതോ ഒരാളെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്ന പോലെ. ഇതരത്തുള്ള വീഡിയോ പബ്ലിക് ആയി വരുമ്പോൾ പല ഇടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവർ അല്ലെ കാണുക. അപ്പോൾ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ വ്യക്തികളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പ്രയോഗങ്ങൾ ( ഭാഷാ വ്യത്യാസം സ്വാഭാവികമാണ് ) ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണ്ടെതാണ്. പദ്മരാജനെ പുള്ളി പുള്ളി എന്ന് പറയുന്നതിലും നല്ലത് പേര് പറയുന്നതായിരുന്നു നല്ലതെന്നു തോന്നി.

മര്യാദ ഇല്ലാത്ത സംസാര രീതി ആണ് ഇവരുടെ. ഇതിനു മുൻപും ഞാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അത് വെറും ഒരു ഭാഷ പ്രയോഗം അല്ല... മറ്റുള്ളവരെ നിസ്സാരരായി കാണുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് മനസ്സിൽ നിന്നു വരുന്ന വിളി ആണ്.
