Avatar 3 and what could happen in the sequel. James Cameron's Avatar 2 was a visually stunning sequel with emotional storytelling but what will happen in the next film? Jake Sully and Ney'tiri have formed a family and are doing everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans. Avatar 2 (also marketed as James Cameron's Avatar 2) is an upcoming American epic science fiction film directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. It is the second film in Cameron's Avatar franchise, following Avatar (2009). Cameron is producing the film with Jon Landau, with Josh Friedman originally announced as Cameron's co-writer. Cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald are all reprising their roles from the original film, with Sigourney Weaver returning in a different role. New cast members include Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, Vin Diesel, and CJ Jones.

I'm really hoping they go into a mutation direction with the clones. It wouldn't be what we expected too. Like imagine them cloning more Avitars and over time they start to mutate

@@MetaITurtle I read a comment that realistically the Navi should have FOUR arms instead of 2 for a total of 6 limbs (similar to GORO in Mortal Kombat in that respect?) due to so many of the animals having six limbs and evolution going back to common ancestors. Maybe part of the plot could be that the 2 lower arms gradually evolved off of the Navi for some reason, getting shorter and stubbier over the millions or hundreds of millions of years of evolutionary time due to the Navi taking a very different evolutionary path than the other animals on that planet (which might be part of why they had developed a level of intelligence on par with humans) but that somewhere deep down in their DNA was the dormant genetic instruction for the 2 extra limbs and some of the "mutant" Avatars DO GROW 2 extra arms giving them a huge advantage in combat and in other areas.

Kiri’s father is Eywa. Think about it, in the first movie they connect Grace’s avatar to Eywa and a-bada-bing a-bada-boom. It explains how she has these abilities at the end of the movie and how she says she feels Eywa’s heartbeat and is generally interested in everything around her.

@@lbabytutorials4852 I think Grace's CONSCIOUSNESS "soul" was put into the fetus and that Kiri is the REINCARNATION of Dr. Grace. I think in her vision she was not seeing a DIFFERENT person when she saw the doctor she was seeing a past version of HERSELF. I think its THE SAME PERSON.

@@giovanny30516 A recurring theme in this story seems to be people who were killed or ruined getting a second chance at life and a chance to do things better then next time around. 1. Jake was a cripple who would always be a cripple because he could not afford the expensive surgery to fix his condition and his physical health was in decline and he had ruined his chance to go back to Earth and live a good life there due to being a traitor but he got a new life in his Avatar body. 2. Grace was killed by a gun but (Its my belief, not 100 percent sure yet) got "reincarnated" as Kiri 3. Quartich was killed at the end of the first movie but was "reincarnated" himself and given a powerful new body and his humanity is showing as he loves and protects his son. I think a recurring theme in this franchise is flawed people being blessed with a second chance.

If you want to make a lot of MONEY from a movie audience you need to show them what they WANT to see. Everyone going to the movie is a human being from Earth and nobody really wants to see the Earth die. Its too damned depressing and scary and too many people are already scared of that happening right now. Seeing the Earth saved will make the majority of viewers much happier than seeing it die off. Maybe something can happen in this story that is the modern equivalent of the "Cosmo DNA" from the classic science fiction/anime cartoon STAR BLAZERS.

I think it would make more sense if Grace saved the Earth. Instead of Kiri dying. Grace is already with Eywa and is learning but her avatar body is still Alive that could be the seed. Kiri could be the bridge between Humans and Avatars/ Navi to help guide people to understand the new saved Planet Earth.

I feel like Quaritch won’t go back to Bridgehead and instead, just wanders far off and into a new Pandoran biome like they’ve said we’d see. Since the Sully clan is staying put for at least Part 3 with the Metkayinas then it makes sense that Quaritch leaves, meets a new tribe and learns their ways eventually loving Pandora and the Na’vi, then coming to help Jake out at the end. I am so hyped!!!

It will be more interesting if he join another clan in the forest and fight Sully. In the end of the fight Quaritch starting to understand Sully POV.

I think that the next film will most definitely deal with Spider and his relationship with the others. They’re definitely gonna address the fact that Neyteri almost gutted him with out hesitation and I feel like there’s gonna be a lot of tension between her and Kiri because of that. I also think that all the others will be really pissed off at Spider but that Kiri will probably be the only one on his side when it’s revealed that Spider saved Quaritch. I wouldn’t be shocked if Kiri and Spider ran away and did a little self discovery adventure. This adventure will probably be how Kiri finds out who she is and why she’s different. All of this ending with Spider redeeming himself in the eyes of the others and being truly accepted. I don’t think he’ll get a Naavi body cause I feel like that defeats the purpose of his character.

If he does sacrifice himself to redeem himself they will probably revive Neteyam with his body, at the end of the day I still think Spider is going to get killed (most likely by Neytiri) when they found out that he saved the enemy that killed a whole bunch of avatars including Neteyam.

@@alucky00 I don't think that's necessarily true. I don't think it would take him sacrificing his own self just to redeem himself by the end. Jake didn't die in the first film. Sometimes people's actions can really change others' hearts or perception of you...just takes time... and there (hopefully🤞🏻) will be 3 more films to do so. However, I don't necessarily disagree that it won't or couldn't happen. Just I don't think it's necessary.

A concern of mine for the character is that he is a TEENAGED HUMAN. He needs to be around FEMALE HUMANS for very obvious reasons. He can be FRIENDS with the Navi and that includes the Navi females but there is something that he will need that ONLY a FEMALE HUMAN can provide and I think everyone who reads this thread will know what I mean by that.

"Not all humans are bad and not all Na'vi are good" - I think the Ash People in Avatar 3 inhabit a "Fire environment" -- perhaps near a Volcano. Their easier access to metals have given them better weapons than the average Na'vi tribe. Maybe Jake goes to meet them to try form an alliance against the humans, but Jake only winds up in danger. I like Quaritch's redemption arc idea, and I hope they extend it out so that he only turns good in the last film -- but each film you see him "Break Good" -- kinda the opposite to Walter White's arc in Breaking Bad. All just speculation. I can't wait to see the whole series.

From a literary standpoint I see elements of DARTH VADER in him. As evil as that character was he still deep down loved his son and would kill his son (even sacrificed his life to save his son). Quartich got "humanized" in this (ironic since now he is not human anymore) and I think maybe he will sacrifice his life for his son at some point.

I see the ash people tribe being disconnected from ewya and the light being near fire or volcano like place and I wonder if they would be like a red and black color or one or the 2 or Grey ash looking I want a na'vi villain that's not quaritch he's the demon which I like kind of like master chief in halo

@@something2fear i don't think there are disconnected from eywa i think they have a different view of eywa i think they want yo see Pandora in flames and ashes because they belive that fire and lava are the most stronger element in Pandora and it should be the one who rules and they Will alide with the humans because they see that they bring fire to Pandora i think the next villain in the next movie Will be quarich and the leader of the ash na'vis some kind of na'vi helis from horizon and he's olaticaya it Will be interesting that in the end the humans doesn't want to alide with this tribe anymore because they don't want to burn Pandora and un the final battle Jake and quarich Will fight side by side with this helis navi and kill him quarich Will be still be the villain in the end but ir Will be good to see that that not all humans are bad and not all na'vis are good

@r3n3n I like that too I more see maybe just maybe that quaritch tries to act more na'vi idk if he gets into it with the general where they don't want him leading the fight since he failed 2 times that he would be mad and have his own agenda against Jake and the humans by splitting and finding the ash people tribe and seeing that their not so nice Try to work his way into the tribe and brain wash them into fighting the humans and Jake and possibly killing the ash people leader and try to become leader and in the 4th movie see him start his redemption ark idk though just a thought

I feel that Kiri is the Avatar of Eywa. That explains her powers, connection to the creatures & being different from all others. I think the Metkayina Tsahik & others of their tribe can see this.

I wish we got to see more of Bridgehead. BTW, the jungle set-piece in the torrential rain was insane. The water scenes were incredible, but I missed the rainforest.

Bridgehead (what little of it we did see) introduced some new technologies like the battle armor that middle aged woman commander wore that was not as powerful as the mechs from the first movie. I wonder if there are deleted scenes showing more of the tech?

I think instead of a normal redemption arc, Quaritch having an internal struggle between his natural inclination to selfish evil and the good his son wants would be more interesting. TWOW already showed internal conflict with Spider.

I think that's how it will begin. I suspect A3 will have the internal struggle, along with him growing to appreciate Pandora for *other* than its natural resources. Would be interesting as hell if he inadvertently connected to Eywa, who quickly 'spits' him out but it was enough of a connection he reconsiders the current course of humanity on Pandora. There can be shades of villainy (which IMO are the most interesting kind where they're doing "bad" but coming at it from what they perceive as a "good" reason), thus keeping with Cameron & Lang's statements that Quaritch is in all 5, & the villain... but he doesn't have to be THE villain.

I know Its highly unlikely, but my hope for the sequals is that kiri somehow revives neteyam by controlling the spirit tree and making it heal his physical body. I hope tsireya and lo’ak builds a family (in the later sequals obviously as they are young) with lo’ak becoming the new leader following in his fathers footsteps and i hope that quarich turns good, bonds with his son who may even eventually get an avatar body somehow and that they all together storm the human base. The new villian will then be the new female colonel and maybe the franchise ends with kiri helping the humans save the earth so that they dont have to move to pandora. At the very least i hope they somehow make neteyam come back. His time with lo’ak and his father was way too short. Im also excited to see what they do with tuk’s character.

I think it's unlikely that Neteyam will return in the flesh, since he passed away on screen and was 'buried' at the end of the movie. His soul already departed so to say. Though if he'd somehow return the way he was I wonder what his story would be.

@@Ned-nw6ge thats the thing. His death served a purpose. He had to die to push Neytiri and Jake towards war to drive the narrative, but that doesnt mean he has to stay dead. His death also served the purpose of the emotional impact of the second movie, an impact the movie couldnt have had if it wasnt set up to be final. If they didnt have the funeral it would have seemed fake. Again it doesnt mean he cant be brought back. I actually think the way he was buried is going to play a huge role in his revival making his burial scene all the more important. The sea anemone that absorbed him, james cameron got his inspiration for the design of this sea anemone from an anime - i unfortunately cant remember the name - but basically its a golden anemone that heals the main character in that anime. And if he got his inspo for the design from here, why not also be inspired by the function. Meaning maybe eywa can heal Neteyams body through the anemone. And yes his soul is with eywa, but given how Jake managed to pass through the eye of eywa to get into his avatar body, it is not unlogical that a spirit could leave eywa into a body. Not on its own obviously, but i think they made Kiri special and made her have this great spiritual bond with eywa and pandora for a reason. Who says she couldnt help guide his soul back in his body through the spirit tree? Im just saying crazier things have happened on Pandora. Jamie Flatters is also set to play Neteyam for both avatar 3, 4 and 5. Even on IMDB he is listed for the movies, not just on Google. And i doubt they would do flashbacks for 3 whole 3-6 hour movies. Especially since the actor that plays young Neteyam is only set to play in avatar 3 and not 4 or 5. Meaning we are not going to see flashbacks with young Neteyam, and since that seems to be the format memories usually take, showing a younger version, i again doubt its going to be memories. Him being revived could also be a huge character development for both him, Kiri for reviving him and learning of her great powers, Neytiri and Jake who will likely have to deal woth the age old trope “i cant loose you again”. AND it could drive the parallel of the last two movie, ending with Neteyam opening his eyes instead of Jake.

people keep going on about "who's the father" but my theory is that Eywa is fulfilling her/their promise to Jake to bring Grace back/make her a "true" avatar in Kiri. Shortly after the whole "who's your dad" talk in the lab, they show the whole thing with quaritch(Qu) and how A-Qu is derived from Qu but isn't him. A-Qu has Qu's memories and desires, but is a distinct being and personality, off of a "memory stick". They've made the comparison to the trees of souls being "hard drives" of Eywa and The People before, and Grace got "absorbed" into Eywa as well at the end of the first movie. Jake is Eywa's "prophet" (for lack of a better term) against humans, the "sky people". They aligned with him when he told them that the sky people destroyed their home and that Eywa was next. They listened when he asked for help in defending pandora, he could better serve their purposes if he was in a "natural" Na'avi body instead of using human machinery as proxy, so to "give back" during her failure to move grace to a Na'avi body, she made Grace pregnant and essentially "give birth" to a copy of Grace. It's imperfect because Grace is already within Eywa, and in trying to put her back, Kiri got Grace's inquisitive, exploratory mind as well as some of Eywa's power.

@@AndrewEck I think Kiri is the "reincarnation" of Dr. Grace. I think her consciousness or soul or whatever term fits was put by Ewya into the fetus since the regular consciousness transfer failed due to her being too weak for it.

@@abgacha1247 100%. The visuals are a marvel in modern technology. I wouldn’t want it any other way! In fact, I think James Cameron or someone else on the project said, that if we think avatar 2 was visually spectacular, that the next avatar movies will blow our minds and be even better!

They said his actor is returning for future movies but I feel it’ll just be through visions of eywa. But like if Kiri brings back Neteyam then why not do it with everyone. Where’s the sense of dread because if someone dies then so be it, they’ll be back in five minutes

So, likely things we will see in the third film: 1. Major battle(s) at Bridgehead City or somewhat near it. 2. Intro to other Na’vi characters or Clans 3. Kira’s expanded powers and more background on her origins Some theories on third and future films: 1. Quaritch Redemption or might go rogue and still be a bad guy, could be one of many. 2. Spider might get a Na’vi body somehow 3. More Recoms or Avatars working for human interests 4. Pandora through Eywa or possibly Kiri could influence the atmosphere, making human spaceships impossible to land, essentially becoming a planet wide natural shield. 5. Na’vi and Eywa help rebuild Earth’s ecosystem. Maybe Earth has its own Eywa like deity that will be awakened or reborn. With all things considered, I don’t think future avatar films will have any complex plots, but will still be sensually entertaining.

@@johnwright7916I had that theory as well. Read on Reddit that there's some talk of a Na'vi clan known as the Ash people who will play a more antagonist role in upcoming films. Perhaps that clan is more aggressive and will adopt human weapons and behavior.

Ah yes, can't wait to see Kira eliminate the humans with the extended powers of the death note. Jokes aside wouldn't be crazy to see Kiri and/or Eiwa Revive Gaia, Earth's equivalent of Eiwa, that's a real thing look it up. But the atmosphere? That would be to far fetched as any change in the atmosphere would afect all wild life on pandora, and would have to insta-evolve all flora and fauna to acomodate the new atmospheric changes, and mess up the balance. The closest it could do is mess up navigation systems as it does in the Haleluya Mountains, and even then would afect alot things not just the navigation systems.

The avatar for Spider might be a bit tricky because the avatar bodies are made on earth, so he'd have to not only get on Earths good side but also get his DNA sent to earth so they could make an Avatar and send it back to Pandora..

A few other possible story directions (all just conjecture). -- Spider being exiled or sent to live with his father and the humans when it is revealed he saved Quaritch seems a very likely plot point in A3. -- Kiri will likely try to stand up for Spider if that happens, possibly by going with him or helping in some other way that places her in danger. -- The surviving son, Lo'ak, will likely aspire more than ever to becoming a warrior like his dad Jake, but his heart may be poisoned with hate when he learns that Spider saved the man who killed his brother Neteyam, and this in turn may lead him down a bad path (either with a redemption arc, or a tragic end) before the story is done. -- Either way, Lo'ak's fate may in turn help Neytiri understand the danger of her hanging on to her own bitter hatred. -- Speaking of Lo'ak, there is almost certainly a young love interest subplot to be further developed between him and the Metkayina chief's daughter Tsireya, although it may be a troubled relationship if he does take a turn toward bitterness and hatred. -- There will be a battle at Bridgehead City (duh!). -- Spider may die in A3 (at the hands of General Ardmore and the humans, or in some other way), and that may in turn be the catalyst that finally snaps Quaritch into his eventual redemption arc by causing him to come over and seek help from Jake and the Na'vi. -- Going with the "Kiri is Pandora Jesus" idea, perhaps Quaritch's conversion may involve Spider being brought back Lazarus like from the dead in a Na'vi body, with Kiri using her Eywa powers to resurrect Spider. -- The kids will likely come into their own as mature individuals in A3, although this will probably require the parents being absent in some way from their story lines so the kids can go on their individual Joseph Campbell style hero journeys into adulthood. -- Jake may die in A3 (maybe to save Spider), and if so his death will in some way be part of the Quaritch redemption and reconciliation arc. -- Finally, for Neytiri to go to Earth in A4 or A5, there will need to be some kind of fundamental change in the situation between the Na'vi and the humans, a change that could involve Quaritch being transformed in his character and worldview. -- Finally, I'm not sure if the vibe between Kiri and Spider is romantic or more of a soul sister/brother thing. I guess time will tell...

I think a lot of this is very likely. The only thing I think won’t happen is that Spider will get a Naavi body. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like that would defeat the purpose of his character in a way.

What I find most unrealistic story wise for this character is that him being SOCIALLY and CULTURALLY a Navi and friends with them is fine. However, he is technically a HUMAN BEING and to boot a TEENAGER and he badly needs access to FEMALE HUMANS for obvious reasons.... No way due to being a DIFFERENT SPECIES could he be "compatible" with the Navi. If he cannot have a relationship with a FEMALE HUMAN and SOON that could be a major problem for him.

I think that Cameron needs to start adding more shades of grey in the Naavi vs Human conflict. We need new types of Naavi, like antagonistic tribes (it's not believable that all of them are good) that challenges the morals of the main characters. The Earth situation needs to be explored for what it is: desperation. Introduce human characters that are good people, but with something to lose or fight for. The conflict needs to get more nuanced and complex and honest, if this story is to still go on for 3 more movies. This sequel was great, but the 3rd one needs to shift the dynamic now. The Naavi taking initiative to attack allows for that.

I have said on other threads that maybe there could be greedy Navi who get bribed by corrupt humans to betray their own race for personal gain. Also, one thing I appreciated about the 2nd movie was they introduced a different ETHNICITY of Navi. Here on Earth look at how different a very dark skinned African tribesman looks from a member of the British nobility or how different an Australian aborigine looks from a Japanese Samurai. Yet most of the time in science fiction a planet's people all look pretty much the same. I suggested on other threads some Navi tribes that have skin so dark blue it is almost black and some have skin so light blue its almost white, and maybe shorter "pygmy" Navi whose adults average only 8 instead of 10 feet tall but with the tradeoff of being much stronger, built more like body builders than basketball players. We have so many different ethnicities on Earth. I also want to see other types of ENVIRONMENT, maybe DESSERTS or ARCTIC or SAVANNA (shown briefly in first movie). I love how Pandora has different ENVIRONMENTS unlike Star Wars where the entire planet is just one type of environment.

But I trust James Cameron on this one. There just has to be a nuanced conflict when he's even thinking about Avatar 6 and 7

All the Na’Vi have literally a connection with Pandora, they are part of the planet nervous systems, for them to be against it would be like the moon had a cancer. In Avatar 2 the humans’s aircraft can’t stand 10 min in “Hallelujah Mountains” before triggering a imune response, just like a disease, so if evil Na’Vi was a thing they wouldn’t survive longer before Eywa discovered and eliminate them. It may already happen in the past, but if Cameron brings up evil Na’Vi that aren’t humans creations it would be against all the lore himself introduced in the first two movies. This history is about a living moon organism against the human race, it’s tiny little smart humans with their machines agains biological weapons with carbon fiber bones and smart pets.

I hope due to kiri being connected to eywa, she can help bring neteyam back. I'm so sad he died and I saw his upcoming movies are Avatar 3, 4, & 5. I know this could be flashbacks, however I don't think they would bring the actor back just for a few flashbacks especially because there are barely ever flashbacks in avatar. Hopefully he comes back, his death was so so sad.

Where Quaritch is concerned, I think that he and the RDA will regain contact with Spider and offer him an opportunity he cannot refuse: An Avatar of his own. Spending time with Spider in his Avatar will doubtless cause their bond to grow, and when things come to blows, I'm guessing that Quaritch will choose his son over the RDA and Humanity.

Yup - 95% of Avatar 3 (stated just needs some pickup shots), & I think 25% of Avatar 4. I personally think that the "kids" will be kids in Avatar 3, and there will be another time-jump to Avatar 4, which will allow for the "kids" to age up appropriately. Then 4&5 will be filmed back to back for the same reason as 2&3: higher chance of actors being around, plus any children won't weirdly age when there's no time-jump big enough to explain. My worry either way, is Sigourney... I hope she makes it through A4 & 5, but unless Cameron can get filming soon (w/in 2 years), I'm worried age will get her.

Aside from actors they are TWO DIFFERENT SPECIES. Movie audiences tolerated relations between Superman and Lois Lane because Superman LOOKED human and in Star Trek the audience did not mind the interspecies relationships much because they all pretty much looked human except for some facial deformity involving prosthetic makeup like pointed ears or forehead ridges or a weird looking nose. But the Navi are too alien looking and this is the point where an interspecies relationship would be SICK. The script writers need to let them be FRIENDS but find a plot device that enables Spider to have a relationship with a FEMALE HUMAN.

Hopefully Neteyam we’ll come back to life by the power of kiri let’s be honest, he is the true leader after his dad and the chosen one he was training his whole life to be a leader. He went through more leader training than the rest of his siblings, and let’s hope he will come back to life and still take that place because he is the true chosen one leader hero after his dad that’s the truth because and he’s the first born.

I don't think Neteyam will come back but there's too many signs he will for it to be a coincidence. 1. Neteyams name means "not the end" 2. Kiri could possibly have powers to bring it back 3. Jake says every avatar is born twice 4. He is one of the main cast in the next 3 movies 5. Im pretty sure that in the weekends music video there was a shadow coming out of the water that looks like neteyam 6. James Cameron said there would be ab unexpected plot twist.

I feel like over the movies jake will truly learn about all the different cultures and regions of Na’vi on pandora. Not just the “good” but also the “bad”. Then if he takes up the mantle of Turow Mactan again it’d be more impactful for him to unite all of the Na’vi across pandora, not just the ones close to him. It’d be more impactful as he knows all of these cultures personally and learnt their way ps and went from an outsider to being accepted in all of them. Side note: I’d love to see Norm becoming closer in the future with the Na’vi culture, not necessarily going as far as jake, but seeing him become more adept at fighting in his Na’vi avatar (and consequently in his human body) and say making a bond with his own Ikran would be really cool showing how over the 10 years he’s slowly adapted to Pandora, not fully becoming a native like jake but coming close to it.

I think the Ash people being the main antagonists of the next film will be a nice change of story. I'm thinking they will have broke Eywa's rules and developed themselves technologically, therefore, giving them an edge against other tribes. My guess living they would live near a Volcano and have advanced knowledge of metallurgy so their weapons are possibly the most advanced of the Na'Vi.

James Cameron majorly expanded the scope with the 2nd Alien and 2nd Terminator movie. But the 3rd movie in both of those series kind of went down hill and then both series got weird. I hope he overcomes the curse of the number 3. Though to be fair I think Cameron directed the 2nd in each of those series then SOMEONE ELSE took over for him, so if he STAYS might be different situation?

With a big budget and similar technology to the Avatar movies was applied to THUNDERCATS, HE MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, or maybe JACE AND THE WHEELED WARRIORS among others it could be a break from the overdone Transformers franchise.

I have a theory. Now that Quaritch is Navi blood in a Navi body he will eventually learn the ways of Pandora and connect to himself to Eywa, which will give him a huge wake up call and possibly give him more empathy towards the planet and all it's inhabitants. Eywa is all about tapping into your emotions and spirit and that one experience can be powerful enough to change Quaritch and make him switch sides. Jake Sully and Quaritch joining forces and fighting together? I'd say that's quite the potent mix...

The one thing I’m slightly worried about is Avatar 2 feels like Matrix Reloaded and Avatar 3 might be the more bland Matrix Revolutions as the Bridgehead city being the Zion city and the Na’vis being the machine army only the hero/villain dynamic is reversed, but I have faith in James Cameron he won’t just have a bland all-war movie like Matrix Revolutions.

One thing that sets the Navi apart from the Humans is embracing nature and the environment. They have adapted to use SOME human technology like the guns and the communication devices but only because their main enemy uses technology and sometimes you need to fight fire with fire (like the Native Americans leaning to use guns in real life). Spider is a human who is CULTURALLY a Navi and uses some technology when necessary (like the breathing mask) but is NOT anywhere near as tech savvy as most of the other humans. A reverse of Spider meaning a Navi who get fascinated by the human's technology and embrace it and get good with it would be interesting. Imagine if some of the technology that augments a human's strength and size (like the exosuit worn by that middle aged female soldier who was giving orders to Quartich's avatar or the mech suits shown in the first movie) was adapted to be used by the Navi? The Navi are bigger and stronger than the average human and the humans have their technological enhancements to fill that gap but imagine specially designed mech suits to enhance a Navi's already superior strength?

Kiri could be instrumental in halting humanity's invasion of Pandora similar to how Eywa heard Jake's prayer to help the Navi in battle. If it does become possible to revive the spirits of fallen navi warriors within new bodies, then it could be like in LOTR when Aragon wipes out Mordor's siege on Minas Tirith with an army that cannot be defeated because it is already dead. The movie applies the metaphor of an immune response to the wildlife's hostility towards humanity. To carry that metaphor a step further, Eywa could be devising a new organism as the ideal antibody to wipe the humans out. Like a xenomorph or something. (All it would really take is a contagious disease, but facehuggers are more awesome.) There are no shortage of organisms hazardous to humans on Pandora, but nothing have been specifically shaped to hunt them down. I don't know how likely either of these scenarios are, but they are possibilities that would have at least some kind of logical precedent.

The Bridgehead city is growing larger. And, people from the earth are migrating to the pandora. They will invade more areas with a fast speed. I believe there would be a bigger combat between the human and people in pandora, more than the story between the Navi's family and Quaritch.

This franchise is odd in that it is both “new” and “old” at the same time! But I like what Cameron has done in terms of the world-building. However I feel with ambitions of where the story can go from here, I feel two movies isn’t enough to fill in all the backstory and history and all the events that are tying the events of movies together. This franchise needs to start putting out tons of content across all mediums just like Star Wars and Marvel. James Cameron is on record stating that Avatar is his attempt at creating his version of “Star Wars” and seeing how we ONLY have 2 movies and already so much detail has been pumped out. But we need MORE!!! I am excited for the Avatar game coming out!

Is it just me who doesn't like the idea of any Na'vi going to earth or them adopting the human lifestyle and getting advanced technology? The whole point of the Na'vi not accepting anything the humans had to offer was that their lifestyle is in perfect balance with their environment and thus doesn't need and shouldn't change. And with Avatar retelling the history of the colonization of the Americas I don't like the idea of any Na'vi being brought back to Earth giving the general human opinion about them. Especially Neytiri, who's already suffered so much. Neytiri wouldn't have to go to Earth to have her perspective on humans changed if there would, for example, be a larger group of humans within the RDA who'll throw down their weapons, say "f you" to their boss and fight for the preservation of Pandora and its nature.

After seeing DARTH VADER get redeemed almost 4 decades ago I figure almost any villain can. Even in the first movie he did not seem purely evil. He WAS willing to give the Navi a chance to leave on their own with strict warnings and only attacked when those warnings were ignored. Still a big @$$H0LE by conventional standards but a purely evil villain would have wiped them out right away like the aliens in INDEPENDENCE DAY. He also seemed to genuinely care about protecting his soldiers and a total sociopath would ONLY care about their own life and unlike some villains who never keep their promises I strongly believe that had Jake done what Quartich had wanted he would have kept his word about arranging the surgery to allow him to walk again. I kind of felt that until he was betrayed by Jake he had a degree of respect and affection for Jake. I think his "evilness level" was significantly LOWER than Darth Vader's was so he could be more redeemable than Vader.

Crazy idea… this is actually happening in the past. Kiri seeds the earth and accidentally wipes out life. But creates a new breed of being that is half avatar half human, or an ape. Then evolution or whatever and we get a however many years later that displays life now. Bad way of explaining the idea but would be interesting

Honestly, if the 3rd Sequel ends in another *"Humans Bad, therefore they lose"* trope, I will give it another pass like what I did with Part 2. But when we reach Part 4, 5 and possibly 6, PLEASE stop with the Evil Humans trope and actually treat the Humans in the story the same way you treat the Na'vis. Both good and bad.

one thing that I find it interesting is that after the story of Avatar one, due to Jake and his friend the Omatikaya tribe while as much dismay as they have to the "sky people" due to their traiditonal fait hand persepctive on Eywa, they become the most "sky people-ish" (and not in a bad way) Na'vi tribe since they have the most dealings and understanding of the "sky people" plus Jake was one and think like one (sometimes I wonder if Jake would ever tell his kid or other Omatikaya people what Sky people's history was and what was it like to be a Sky person), you can tell that Omatikaya people was the only Na'vi tribe start thinking about ways to balance and intergrate (in a small limited manner) whatever technology and "sky people's ways" they got their hands on into their traditional and natural friendly Eywa belithing way of life (it is interesting that the Sullys put blue tooth pagers in their nacklace and Neytiri use it comfortably as it is a rock or a tree and stuff, plus the family photo they have taken by the sky people scientist that sicks around), you can also tell by that when Jake is discussing the conspiring agenda of the Sky people to the Metkayina Chief and people the Metkayinas literally was puzzled (about the agenda and mentality of those sky people)by his explanation, like he's speaking Chinese to them :P while Omatikaya folks would instantly make sense of it and start talking about how they are gonna cut supply line and strike what force and when and where like a marine

@@jamiebaseballin2 One thing I appreciate about this fictional world is that like Earth it has a MIXTURE of DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS. No more of the Star Wars and Star Trek bullshit of an entire planet being just ONE type of environment. I also love that another ETHNICITY was introduced. Look at how different we humans are from each other in different parts of our world, how different an English aristocrat is from an African Zulu yet they are the SAME SPECIES. I want to see a Navi tribe with skin so dark blue that it is almost black and a different tribe so light blue its almost white and other body types. I posted on other threads that a tribe of shorter (maybe 8 feet tall as adults on average instead of 10) Navi built like body builders and stronger than the taller Navi or maybe a tribe that goes to the other extreme where the adults average 12 feet in height but are very lanky and not as physically strong as the shorter ones. Over the films the Navi should rival humans for differences in Ethnicity. Too often in science fiction all of the members of an alien race look pretty much identical and that makes about as much sense as all humans looking like the British.

I love those other franchises but that’s always been one of my main complaints; every planet shouldn’t be just one biome there needs to be a bit of diversity. That’s why I prefer The Way of Water to the original because in it I finally felt that Pandora was a real world

Kiri heals pandora in part 3 and humans are finally defeated. Humans capture Kiri and take her back to earth to heal it. Navi go to earth to rescue her.

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. Quaritch can work towards a redemption arc, while Spider kinda 'falls off the path' for a bit before realizing he truly is a Na'vi at heart.

Norm was in a relationship with Trudy in avatar 1. I'm pretty sure there was a scene that showed that in the collector's edition, so it's already seeded into the storyline, but there are numerous deleted scenes that show their relationship, and apparently Trudys last words were not "sorry Jake", but "sorry Jake, I love you Norm". So I'm guessing Norm as a potential daddy is a no 😬😂

The main group of Na'vi will go to the mountains where they'll meet a found family and discover the importance of said family while the same villain from the last 2 comes trying to get a mountain ore that does some generic sci fi thing. Then they'll have to deal with their home being destroyed and see the horrors of imperialization. They've pretty much set their formula

My prediction is that since spider saved the colonel and Jake's wife tried to kill him, they will tell the Avatars that spider saved me and Jake's wife will have another breakdown and start screaming and trying to kill Spider so spider will be kicked out of the clan. Spider will join the humans and become an Avatar since he already knows how to live like one he can be a weapon for the humans to stop the Avatars.
