What does their vehicles being, allegedly, "poor build quality" and 'unreliable' *according to you* have to do with it? Let the market decides for themselves, isn't this the main principle of capitalism? Why are you deflecting so much 🤣 Also let's be real, Teslas are also well-known for their MANY scandals of poor build quality. So much so that even the body panels have noticeable gaps in their production cars. They are notoriously unreliable. Go read some consumer reviews or mainstream critics review. Here's one for you: "Tesla Jumps Four Spots, Still Near Bottom In Consumer Reports' Reliability Survey" "Tesla has never done well in Consumer Reports’ annual reliability surveys and the same is true for the manufacturer’s 2022 performance. CR released its latest report and it ranks Tesla in 19th position out of 24 automakers [...]" So tl;dr: apparently made in America is also ridden with "poor build quality, overstated range, glitchy technology and terrible reliability". This car offers lifetime warranty for the battery AND motor. Tesla doesn't even have that kind of confidence in its top products 🤣🤣 The moment Chinese EVs hit the American market is when the American's EVs prices crash and burn for the overpriced junks that they are. The American government knows this well and more than likely is the reason why they haven't allow Chinese EVs into the American market despite them being everywhere in Europe and meeting EU's much stricter car safety tests and standards.

I am a free market guy, but spent a lot of time selling equipment in China. China has subsidized most of the EV manufacturers so It is not a level playing field - far from it. Furthermore, how would the UAW feel if their hourly wage moved to $3/hour. That is what the US, Europe, Japan, S. Korea are faced with.

In the vast majority of situations, the U.S. subsidizes industries (frequently with tariffs) in which companies/countries unfairly compete (eg China in the steel industry - many of their companies are state owned and price their product at U.S. producers cost to manufacture). I lived with it in steel and chemical industries. Typically the U.S. subsidizes to induce behavior changes - eg EV subsidies.

Manufactured in Chongqing , and you know what happens to stuff made in China : you use it once and then it breaks . That's the Chinese way. Why sell something once when you can sell it hundreds of times. This vehicle will have mostly plastic parts ( made to break ) and this means the maintenance will be hell. Only a fool would buy one . Never mind supporting a country that deliberately spread the virus across the planet
