Although most of us know the history of this "Ave Maria", we remember it: Non Caccini This "Ave Maria" is by Vladimir Vavilov (1925-1973), a Russian guitarist who composed it in 1970 and published it on an album called "Melody". He edited it without author (he used to sign with names of authors of the Baroque, but it left blank). Then, a friend of his (Marcos Shakhin) attributed it to Caccini. The interpretation of the soprano Irina Arkhipova in 1987, (with an arrangement of the organist Oleg Tanchgenko) made this Ave Maria achieve the fame and popularity that it now has and that Vavilov could not get to know (he died poor and of pancreatic cancer).

But why did he sign with names of Baroque authors? Why did not he have the courage to stand by his own name? The same happened to the Adagio of Albinoni with Remo G. You have to be stupid, or a coward, if you compose a great piece of music and then use a different name. I can not understand that! Now the Ave Maria will forever be used under the name Caccini, and will be known only by Caccini. Too bad for Vavilov... and very sad, but that's life. you always have to stand by your own creativity, with your own name!!

We are a few musicians claiming the authorship of this work by Vladimir Vavilov for Vladimir Vavilov. Specifically, Vladimir put this piece anonymously on the disk. It was a companion of his who attributed it to Caccini (Baroque!). (See number three on the disc index) APPOINTMENT: "In 1970 he recorded the album" Music of lute of the XVI-XVII centuries "(33 CM 02059-60 / Stereo) in the record company All-Union" Melody ": 1. Francesco da Milano (1497-1543) - Lute suite: Canzon and dance. 2. Popular music of the 16th century. - Spandolletta. 3. UNKNOWN AUTHOR of the 16th century. - AVE MARIA. 4. N. Nigrino - Richerkar 5. V. Galilee (1520s - 1591) - Lute suite: Pavan and Galliard. 6. G. Naizidler (1508 - 1563) - Chacón. 7. English popular music of the 16th century. - The song "Green Sleeves "and Galliard. 8. Turdion, ancient French dance. 9. J.A. Buff - Pasturella. 10. D. Gauthier (1603 - 1672) - Gavotte. END OF APPOINTMENT The reason that several connoisseurs of the subject document on KZfaq (apart from other places) for this "Application" was the time in which Vladimir lived in Russia (Stalin era where it was best not to excel for safety). Religious music could not publish it. For this reason, and to avoid censorship, he attributed his works to various authors so that they could be published and thus be able to survive. It should be noted that Vladimir Vavilov's "Hail Mary" only bears the text "Hail Mary" without further letter, since censorship would have prohibited it at that time. Apart from that musically, this Ave Maria has nothing to do with the baroque style of Caccini, totally different. Caccini is from the pre-Baroque (mid-16th century) and the melody of the Ave Maria is romantic, apart from the shades. Caccini, a Catholic, would never have cut the letter and much more in his analysis AVE MARIA DE VLADIMIR VAVILOV IN 1970. No Caccini. We must stop continuing to spread the error. Dimmi ancora che Caccini di 16mo seccolo sia l'attore di qualche musica nello stile juzz o rock'n'roll! La tua favola di "manoscritto" rubato rimane una bella favola senza nessuna prova. Vavilov ha attribuito le sue opere a decine compositori anche ad inventati.

Perche occorre una logica positiva con tutte le prove come - "lo style e la tecnica musicali", che in questo caso ci ne sono tanti. Vavilov non era comunista... Era lontano da qualsiasi politica. E poi... Ben noto Saulo prima di diventare apostolo Paulo era peggio di un comunista. Invece... Non tutti che portano la croce sono cristiani... Nel valutare la tua conoscenza delle realta' russe, vorrei aggiungerene un altro: non tutti i comunisti erano cattivi.

@@eugeniodimilano che ci azzecca S.Paolo con Il furbacchione Vasilov ,il quale davanti alle commissioni sovietiche che gli contestarono che lui non fosse un compositore e non iscritto a nessuna delle centinaia accademie di musica russe lui il furbo allora disse che era di un artista anonimo, per evitare bastonate e gulag.i Sovietici in tema di opere d'arte non ammettevano menzogne e prese in giro,in questo erano ferocementi onesti. Ma spiegami un po' come mai e' venuto fuori il Vasilov dopo il crollo sovietico e non prima col sistema sovietico in essere?come mai?

Una bella canción, una exquisita voz y un director de cámara estupendo ante tan compleja obra dada la complejidad de la obra en sí, se necesita de una línea de canto, dinámica y sostén del aire que solo una cantante experta nos permiten disfrutar de esta obra maestra de Vladimir Vavilov

Hay momentos en la vida de escuchar, de meditar sereno y sentir alegría. Hay momentos en la vida de admirar y de dejar tu lengua quieta y muda. Hay momentos y pellizcos del alma que quiebran tus adentros a porfía al oír alzar el vuelo a esta Ave María cantada por un ángel que no conocías. Hay momentos que al escuchar su voz crees ya estar en los cielos, ¡pero no!, siguen tus oídos escuchando la melodía en un rinconcito de la divina Andalucía... Con todo mi cariño de un hijo del Guadalquivir que, poco a poco, va llegando a su fin, recorriendo la vida...
