To begin, section the hair into in a circular shape around the point of distribution, separate the fringe in the front, and the rest of the hair into quadrants. Start at the bottom section of the hair and work your way up, applying the first formula. On the bangs section, add the darkest formula. To the same section make smaller sections, then apply the enlightener hair color formula. Blend the two formulas by twisting the hair strands with your fingers to create the essential look to the eclipting technique. Leave the formula in the hair for 20 minutes then rinse, add toner, and dry the hair to see the final result. As the eclipting style transitions hair from darker to lighter, play around with the style and create many different variations.
