I was lucky enough to see them play this song live in 2005 with the Rev in Holland. Awesome that they've decided to play it live again.

I was at this show and this was probably the most solid song they played the entire show. He may not have hit those high notes at the end but I loved the way he sang it...sounded awesome.

When I hear people say the stuff they hear on the radio is shit compared to the old days and there is alot of auto-tune pop crap out there I can't agree more... but avenged sevenfold is definitely one of the very few nowadays to make great inspirational music that has meaning! Greatest Band!

Such a powerful song. I really feel for the guys of A7X, especially Brian (Syn), since the 5 year anniversary is coming up of the Rev's passing on the 28th of December. You know that's got to be hard for them. Thank God they are continuing on, keeping Jimmy's dream alive by playing his music all the time. Wonderful way to celebrate his life. :)

i am one of a7x's biggest fans. i went to the uproar in detroit and i am sooooo glad they played older songs. i love every single one of their songs equally but it was just great to hear them play older songs to let us know that they still can pull them off.

I love the part at 6:10 when Zacky, Syn, and Johnny all turn around in unison and Shadows faces the drums.

OMFG! This is my absolute favorite song, and I've been dying to see it live. It would have been a very special moment for me. I saw A7X last year, and wanted to see them at this exact show as well, but I was tight on money and the setlist looked like it was going to be exactly the same. I can't believe they played this song and I missed it... I am beside myself.

Would pay extra to see this song performed live. I've seen A7X twice and as bad ass as Chapter 4, Unholy Confessions, Afterlife, Beast & The Harlot & all the other dope ass songs... I need to see this one. #Lighters&CellPhonesUp

With how good Matt has sounded since they started playing live shows again last year, I'd love to see them bring this one back as it's honestly my favorite song of theirs and if he tried to, I think he could probably hit those high notes at the end without damaging his voice now

you're correct my good sir, this song was written for Matt's best friend who committed suicide, Justin Sane was their bassist before Johnny, he suffered from depression and would drink bottles of cough syrup to try to kill himself hence the line "As bottles call my name I wont see you tonight"

I was just reading all the comments... and to the comments about the crowd.. The crowd was actually awesome.. the WHOLE place was standing up.. IWSYT is a mellow kinda song and it was dedicated to the REV so it was kinda sad/awesome/goosebumps/the whole 9 yards if you know what I mean.. plus, as stated the concert was changed to a tuesday night because of the hurricane so a lot of people couldnt make it.. it was AMAZING, every single song.. and the crowd rocked out! trust me..
