Diamonds In The Rough was originally released on CD in 2008 as part of the DVD+CD release “Live in the LBC/Diamonds in the Rough”. It is a compilation of b-sides recorded during the making of the band’s self-titled 2007 debut, rarities, covers and other non-album tracks. The 2020 vinyl and digital release of the album has been remastered and is expanded by 5 tracks, featuring the unreleased track “Set Me Free” (recorded during the “Hail To The King” sessions). It also includes other hard-to-find tracks such as the fan-favorite “St, James”, “4AM” and “Lost It All”. The 16 track album also includes the band’s cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”, which originally came out in 2009 on the Warner Bros album “Covered”. The vinyl is released on limited edition clear vinyl.

This song reminds me a lot of their songs, I Won't See You Tonight Part I, Victim, Save Me, Crimson Day and Acid Rain.. This deep sadness and melancholy present in all these songs. So true in Matt's voice and Syn's guitar.

Shadows voice gives me shivers every damn time and the guitars are almost hypnotic! You are my all-time favourite band and me and my wife attends every concert we can! First time was at Metaltown in Gothenburg and I don't think we have missed a show in Sweden since! Hopefully it won't be long until the next time!

Absolutely btw I'm sorry for your loss. I remember when my friend my died Sept 1st 2013 ,it was a almost 2 weeks after avenged sevenfold released hail to the king and I remembered the first time I heard st James it was the day after he died. And the song hit me hard, for one his middle name was James even tho I knew the song is about the rev. But in a away I felt the song was for him to and I was obsessed with that song the rest of 2013 . Avenged do has some deep ass songs and sometimes you don't understand them until you lost someone you care about it and have been through depression.

Nightmare is and will always be my favorite album from them. So much emotion and power that is not found on any other album from them. Not saying they're bad I love every album but Nightmare just shines IMO.

Definitely better than most of HttK but I mean they also didn't release 3 AM or Lost it All on Nightmare and those songs were awesome, and I love all the songs in Diamonds in the Rough. Makes you wonder how many amazing demos they make that still haven't been released.

Shepherd of Fire was the first song that I ever listened to from Avenged Sevenfold, and every one of their songs that I've listened to have been fantastic. This song is no exception. This easily one of my most favorite songs they've ever made.

You definitely should check Dream Theater. You'll enjoy songs about real-life stories like The Count of Tuscany and A Nightmare to Remember. Scenes from a Memory is a fascinating concept album with a great history, one of the best concept albums of all time. Images and Words is also a great album to start with. Dream Theater is one of A7X biggest influences.

This is one of my favorite Avenged Sevenfold songs. That's saying a lot because I've been a fan for roughly 20 years. It's such a beautiful song. M. Shadows lyrics tug on the heartstrings while Synyster Gates guitar playing pierces your soul. With every album and every single that A7X releases, I'm always in awe of how much talent they possess in one band. Nobody could ever replace The Rev, but Brooks has done a damn good job of bringing his own drumming style. 🖤

It takes about 3 seconds for everyone to realize that this must be a “hail to the king” track. I love the vibe of this song, as I did with every song on that record. You guys truly made a remarkable piece there. I hope for more of this in the future. Can’t believe I had to wait 7 years for this one 🤘🏼

@@lancer717 for me its just too many things my mind has to process, Before I go into public I have anxiety. Its like that feeling when you get terrible news but all the time. I always have negative thoughts and can't sleep for longer then 2 hours at a time,iwake up and think about negative shit and what I havent become..on top of that I have extremely vivid dreams so even when i wake up im still tired. i forgot to mention it takes me hours to fall asleep. Im miserable all the time..thank god i have friends that understand. @7Suave I know you didnt ask me but I just felt like i kinda had to explain how I feel. it can help me..
