@robertjencks36795 жыл бұрын
I do wish he would have had a more dramatic redemption in the movie. It just felt a little weak to me personally. He went from being a depressed and broken man to being a no longer depressed or broken man. But it didn't feel like he ever recovered the feeling of being a hero. I'm sure that will be developed more in future movies but it felt like the one unfinished arc in a movie that ties everything up nicely.
@shiftyjim41385 жыл бұрын
kenrick encinas They nerfed the fuck out of him and hulk and messed with their characters in ways that made them significantly less fun and cool. Yes Thor should be broken and depressed but I do think it’s played out a bit too much for my taste. I miss when Thor was like one of the main characters and was really important like he was in infinity war. I still think he had some cool scenes I just wish he wasn’t just a joke background character for the whole movie (you can argue he wasn’t a joke character by saying it was just him being broken but no he was a joke character made evident by how most of his scenes involved some joke about him being fat or drunk). I’m not too upset by it tho because him surviving means that they can bring him back and and make him cool again in another guardians movie potentially.
@chaiserchaise5 жыл бұрын
hahh no
@sirduggins5 жыл бұрын
agreed. The whole of infinity war and start of endgame has thor being cocky as hell. In Infinity War he assumes he's just going to be able to kill thanos because he's Thor and that's what he's supposed to do. In the start of End Game he's still kind of in disbelief, probably in denial that he failed and so he went to go get the stones from thanos assuming he could reverse it all. Once he realizes they're gone he just loses it and the next time we see him he's an overweight alcoholic who's had his ego shattered. It just seems logical to me. His way of coping is to continue to act egotistical because he's still a god, but he knows deep down that he isn't some "chosen one" like he always thought. He could still fail.

You’re obviously a comic fan, and considering what’s gonna happen, people like you and me are gonna hit up the theaters. FF4, X-Men, Blade, these are all introducing a brand new side of the Marvel universe. So yeah, don’t think you’re done just yet.

For me, black widow’s death was perfect because there were moments when they started bringing it up, but they had too much too do. They made sure that they didn’t focus on black widows death until after the fight, to show that they were trying to make sure her death wasn’t in vain. Idk it’s just my personal opinion because for me it seems more grounded in universe.

He was outmatched with capt. marvel, but figured out how to overcome her in a way that seemed spontaneous and it really showed his cleverness. This was done in a way that wasn't small, but still subtle. And this was just one of many little but significant details throughout that fight.
