*The real Infinity Gauntlet* is still out there. Odin didn't have it. But he let on that he did to prevent others from looking for it. *The true Infinity Gauntlet* one protects the user from the effects of using the stones indefinitely. Thanos forced Eitri to forge one. *Eitri's Gauntlet* allowed Thanos to use single to multiple stones without ill effects. However, uses of all the stones in the snap comes with massive damage that is survivable. *Hulk/Stark Gauntlet* gave limited protection to the user. The moment it was put on it caused damage. And finally *Stark's Nanotech Iron Man Gauntlet* gave absolutely no protection and was fatal from one use.

Here are a couple of excuses I have for some of the problems people seem to have. 1) Iron Man's gauntlet holding the Infinity Stones no problem. From what I remember from Infinity War, they never said Thanos actually needed a special gauntlet from Nivadellir in order to hold the Infinity Stones. I just assumed that he had gotten it there because he knew he needed some kind of weapon to fight for the Stones and this way it would be extra durable and powerful for battling the Avengers. So basically, any type of durable gauntlet can withstand the power of the Stones, but Thanos just wanted a powerful one 2) Hulk burning and Tony being fine before he snaps. I just assumed that this was because Hulk was only wearing the gauntlet and had no protection underneath, whereas Tony was wearing his full Iron Man suit, so all of the Infinity Stones energy was going through Tony's armor instead of his flesh. 3) Thanos being able to wield Stormbreaker. People seem to be under the assumption that Stormbreaker works the same way that Mjolnir did, where someone has to be worthy in order to wield it. But this is not the case. As we saw in Thor (2011), there was a special Asgardian spell that was placed on the hammer that made this the case, but do we ever see this type of scene at Nivadellir when they forge Stormbreaker? No, we don't. Case in point, when they're finishing up building it, Groot picks it up to create the handle. Sure, Stormbreaker is an extremely powerful and badass weapon, but you don't need to be worthy in order to wield it. EDIT: I just realized another explanation for a possible plot hole. The Ancient One said that if you remove one of the Stones from a reality, then that reality will supposedly suffer. Because of this, people are questioning how Thanos could destroy the Stones at the beginning without causing any sort of problems. Here’s my explanation. You can’t create or destroy matter, so even though Thanos said he “destroyed” the Stones, they’re still in the form of atoms. This means that they still technically exist in the universe, just not in the form that the Avengers need them to be in. That may sound like it’s grasping at straws, but to me it makes sense.
@DrDolan20005 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clearing that up. I wouldn't care if the movie had problems because I loved the film anyway

Gamora being returned to the timeline kills the bulk of any actual death. They could have gotten Natasha From The Day Before. They could have gotten Tony From a Half Hour Before the Fight.
@riopato20094 жыл бұрын
Thanos destroyed the stones in the main timeline reality where the stones served his purpose. It almost killed him because he literally wished to destroy something that almost can't be destroyed. When The Ancient One was referring to the stones, she was talking about it's existence in the time line so when she was referring it as being removed, she wasn't talking about it being destroyed but simply it's involvement within the timeline. These stones were a reoccurring theme as part of the whole history of the MCU. Without it's existence in that history, reality would splinter into something alternate. What's interesting is that Marvel is planning a What if? project series. Is it possible the disruption of the the stone's place of existence would be the narrative of this project that shows these alternate branches?

Ironman was looking for a stable life in the beginning but had to be the one who sacrificed everything... And Cap was the one willing to sacrifice everything but got the stable life in the end... They flipped the character arcs so brilliantly!
@Golmov_the_Wretched5 жыл бұрын
They've been doing that for years! In Iron Man, Tony is a force answerable only to himself and doesn't trust the government. As the movies progress he becomes much less headstrong and more responsible; eventually championing the Sokovia Accords. Cap starts out as the ultimate G-Man, gets jaded during Winter Soldier, and goes rogue as a fugitive in Civil War. Those two are mirrors of each other, but with their arcs taking them in opposite directions.

Its funny that you mention the effect that thanos destroying the stones in “our” reality should have had considering what tilda swintons character sed, because I believe that is going to be one of, if not the main plotline for coming MCU story telling. Because of the massive energy that was realesed when the stones where destroyed, this could entail the birth and rise of the x-gen within the people of earth, activating terrigenisis for descendants of the Eternals(inhumans, wich would obviously be a amazing tie in with the upcoming movie about the Eternals) and so on. it could have caused cracks in the fabric of reality wich would allow the dark dimensions to seep through in ours, wich would make dormammu a big universal threat, it could have woken up dorment celestials, the possibility’s are practically endless. I would almost even feel save to bet that whole scene with tilda swinton was put in, not only for the importance it had for endgame itself, but what direction an event like that would steer the future MCU movies in. if it was done on purpose it’s absolute story telling brilliance, but if it’s a coinsedance its gonna be a very nice thing to look back in the next 10 years.
@jonathanyaney61104 жыл бұрын
The reasoning I heard why Tony didn’t writhe in pain was because he was used to hurting. He’d been kept alive by a hunk of metal in his chest built in a cave. He knew what it meant to hurt. Hulk and Thanos are so powerful that they’re not used to actually experiencing pain.
