I think villa fans when they watched this didnt expect so much progress is 1.5 seasons. Congrats to Unai, such an underrated manager, and an incredibly intelligent man. As a Chelsea fan, its crazy seeing Villa doing so well and competing for the spots that we usually challenge for! No one expected it and thats what makes it such a great acheivement already and i personally love Villa as a football club, their history and grandeur. Terry going there only made it sweeter to see them doing well. Good luck for the rest of the season, and hope we smash you when we got you next 😂. ( i know we will get battered dont worry😅)

@Flynn Spunks Never had? SG Had everything at his disposal and was clear he was out his depth and caused unrest amongst the players, and also a toxic environment. Buendia has most assists yet chooses his mate an out of form Coutinho instead... His man management skills are poor! Unai is the real deal!

Unai Emery has 4 & half years with Aston Villa and by god he has all the time with me to get everything right for this clubs future. I am buzzing by this appointment as all of us are. Emery is an outstanding manager (from an arsenal fan). He beat ARTETA twice with a worse team. He should have never been sacked from arsenal. The only problem I see arising for him is the captaincy problem at villa such as he had with auba and ozil. He needs to get Ming's out and give the captaincy to Martinez as they have a good bond already. I also see him getting AT LEAST a draw against man United.

Exactly!, we’ve had so many opportunities in the past to move forward, but make a habit of getting it wrong, poor transfers, journeymen who seem to be good on paper but give nothing. I wish this guy all the best with lifting the Villa Park curse. Lots of deadwood to move out first, we go again!, UTV.

Villa fans congratulations on your new appointment, I can sense the optimism just the same when he joined Arsenal. But it won't be rosy all through he's a good manager with his strengths but the bad things that come to mind from his time at Arsenal include conceding so many shots in matches, suspect playing out from the back, banishing our marquee no.10 you guys have a marquee 10 as well, lack of creativity we used to create everything through the fullbacks nothing through the middle. But he used to get us fired up for the big games especially at home.

Why do they press conferences at afternoon? They need to happen in the ebening! Other than that, great manager. One oft the best that an "underdog" team can get.
