Today we’re whipping up a creamy #CilantroLimeDressing dip, sauce, or whatever you want to call it, in just minutes! This dressing goes perfectly with just about anything that has either Tex-Mex or Mexican vibes. It’s great over #salads, as a veggie/chip dip, taco sauce, or in a burrito!
You’ll need to have the following ingredients on hand:
1 Avocado
about 1 Cup of chopped Cilantro
1-2Jalapeños (or serrano) pepper
2 cloves of chopped garlic
fresh lime juice (2 limes)
about 1/2 cup of sour cream
salt/pepper to taste
1/4 cup of avocado oil.
Water to thin out
If you’d like to opt for a healthier dressing, you could use a low-fat sour cream or substitute another half of an avocado.
Olive oil can make your dressings taste bitter, so best to stick to avocado or other neutral oil! Lastly, have the salt and pepper on standby and a small food processor or blender.
Nothing needs to be chopped finely, just give the avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic a rough chop and throw it in the bowl of the #foodprocessor. Then, squeeze in the lime, add the sour cream, oil, and process until the #cilantro leaves are finely chopped and blended in!
Add water to thin the mix out for a sauce or dressing, or leave it the way it is and put some in your tacos like guacamole or just dig in with some chips!
That’s it! Cilantro Lime Dressing or Dip or Sauce in less than 5 minutes. Insanely easy to make and, even better, insanely delicious! Enjoy!

Alot of babies in the comments with the language. I'm pretty sure their kids speak this way already knowing how my generation is. Planning on making this so the Cilantro my mom bought don't go bad. Thank you for this video. I'm new to cooking so wish me luck!

Thanks for watching and commenting! I understand that a lot of people are offended by curse words. No big deal, there are tons of videos for those individuals to watch. I have always had a pirates tongue, so it’s nothing new and nothing that will change. I try to censor some of the language, but I occasionally miss one or two. Btw, no luck needed! Cooking is an awesome journey and the more you do it, the better you will get. If you make this the way I did in the video, you will use this on so many things. It’s an awesome mix to use on any Hispanic inspired food.

Very nice. I do something similar with Mexican crema, comes out a little loser but... makes it easy to squeeze out of a squeeze bottle. Take care.

One can convey much more vile and offensive thoughts without using an expletive. The occasional "fuck" never hurt anyone. It carries no impact.

How long can i store this in the fridge?
@dadbodbbq

I always suggest following standard food safety guidelines as outlined by the FDA. That being said, the avocado is the “limiting factor” in this recipe. I have kept it refrigerated for 3-5 days with no issue.

Homemade avocado dips like this will turn brown from exposure to air even if it is stored in an air tight container in the refrigerator. My wife puts a piece of plastic wrap directly on top of the dip in the sealed container. This keeps the air from making contact with the dip and retaining that nice green color. We’ve had dips last over a week storing this way.
