OMG! I need him as my Dr. I have UC and it is a constant battle to find a dr who truly looks at things from a holistic standpoint ,,, while “practicing” medicine. I’m not against medicine only when it’s used as the only means to get well. I’ve had to take matters into my hands and do a lot of deep dives into gut health because it’s so limited when dealing with a Gastroenterologist. It’s been a journey to say the least. However, I am very thankful for podcast and ppl like you two that embark on this journey to help others ❤ Thank you!

This is what I try to promote... figure out what works for you and your gut. For me, it's meat, eggs, cheese, and romaine lettuce. Though I do believe no one should be consuming sugar. Sugar is the root of disease.

If, like the doctor stated, we are unique and individual, and I also believe this... then these one size fits all prescriptions, protocols, and vaccines should be scrapped. We need an individualized and holistic approach to medicine. Why is this taking so long???

So, just to clarify. When buying wheat products. Get organic to prevent the consumption of this 'glyphosate' spray. Which is the cause to gluten intolerance, not the wheat itself?

6:54 If a 'food like substance' (ultra processed) can be shelf stable for 2 + years should you really be eating it? How the heck can our body assimilate it? That said, maybe some are unfortunate to live in a food desert or sadly don't have the necessary funds to buy degradable food. Thank you for uploading and sharing.

Just like the "Gangsta Gardener" Ron Finley says, if you can't buy it, grow it yourself. Growing your own food is like printing your own money! Many of them can stick cheap seeds in the ground and get fresh produce.

Great stuff, as always! Wow - I want a poop team roster! Watching this time, a friend happened to stop by. She has many maladies and is always asking for specifically what to eat or not. When "ultra processed" came up, she kept saying "examples, examples". I have an understanding of what it is, but really, would you consider a Rotisserie chicken "ultra processed"? What about hummus? Does it only go to the number of unpronounceable things in the food? I'm making barbeque sauce right now and have a lot of spices on the counter with low sodium tomato sauce, molasses and apple cider vinegar. Am I doing a lot of processing? I made some white bean hummus with hella blender - that is definitely some processing. It would be good to hear just what is considered ultra processed. I 99% do not eat anything with "hydrogenated" or "high fructose corn syrup" in the ingredients - which is why I'm making barbeque sauce.

those foods you are making are not ultra processd, that's fine :) he has a recipe book full of recipes putting different whole foods together using blender etc. He means stuff in packages at the store with a long list of ingredients with fillers binders emulsifyers additives preservatives etc.... not sure about the chicken, probably not great as has stuff added to it i presume. Would be better to buy a chicken and cook yourself but you could always ask them what they do to it! Dr B is usually a proponant of plant based so he wouldn't eat meat in general, but I know he is now talking about not 1 diet suiting everyone so not sure on that part. Good luck! I might have to try the bbq sauce, good idea! Molasses is very good for you :) X

We do not need fiber… It is absolutely not necessary. I’m 4 years Carnivore , all gut issues a 31/2 year distant memory… Meat & fat is where it’s at!

We're all individual and come from different gene pools. Some people don't need fibre, some do. I do great on a high fibre diet, I'm not overweight, and I'm rarely sick.

We do need some fiber for the best health. All the longest lived people in the world ate fiber. Most of them ate veggies, beans, whole grains and some (but not all) also ate small amounts of meat

Im sure that no human studies have been done to prove that we don't need to eat fiber. In any case, the beneficial bacteria in the gut do need fiber.
