I agree with you re: misting systems. They work and are really pleasant. I notice that a lot of PHX restaurants use them in their outdoor patios, which is such a pleasant experience. In SoCal, during the summer, restaurants or anywhere else the use of misting systems are non existent. The use of dual pane windows are mostly for the rich in SoCal. Go figure.

How does desert water scarcity factor into the massive expansion and influx of residents? Certain Scottsdale communities [and others] have been shut off from city water supply! 100 years ago, the volume of Colorado River water was seriously overestimated, and now comes a time where drought is imminent. Foolhardiness on an epic scale.
