7.5 is good enough for the english prof. tests, on the other side this score is not something that is considered by universities as an admission criteria

If you have not taken the SAT yet, it would be too late them this year if you want your scores to be considered as most of the application deadlines are in the first two weeks of January.

Hi utkarsh first of all congratulations🎉. Don't worry concentrate on SAT orr. ACT and other related exams , which are not compulsory but , For Indian students i suggest you to give these test. Concentrate on writing essay from today it self . I would like to give you a list of research u should do for us studies 1. Common app 2. Css profile (for financial aid ) 3. Information on types of decision. 4. Letter of recommendation 5. Extracurricular 6. SAT or ACT 7. English proficiency test (there are three you can Take any one ) 8. Preparing college list 9. Make sure you do good things to justify you gap months .like till Feb you will not in any university because all the acceptance come nearly in February or March so once you get accepted the next step is Visa. 10. Visa officer can ask you a question what did you do in these 8 to 9 months.. you can't say that I was preparing for college application I was doing a funny stuff and thing you should be telling them something like you did some research you are learning some new skill you started up something like that. @Simmy yes I suggest you write SAT . and it's not necessary to write Tofel u can also write Ilets or Duolingo English test. just take a sample test of all three and decide which is working for you.

@Simmy I am so sorry I missed answering your question Simmy It would be great if you asked this question maybe last week because registration for June 3rd SAT closed on 19th May, so you only have the option to Give SAT August 26, Registration deadline is August 11 so make sure you applied before the August 11. and at the same time Applications also open may be in the first week of August so for the fall 2024 so, the ONLY OPTION IS August 26, 2023 I hope this was helpful. have a nice day 😀

no it is not acceptable, english proficiency exam is not something you can spend an entire year on!

it's about anything, do not write about CS in your personal essay, on the why us essay however you can talk about CS and maybe also labs or professors that you would like to work under as a CS student in their university

You can use your personal essay to write about any passion of your choice. Make sure that it demonstrates an experience and is not specific to your academic interests at a particular university.

if you have finished 12th, that means you are already in your GAP year, and yes you will be applying for fall 2024 when applications start this august!

for humanities, i think it's okay to skip GRE if you have a good GPA, plus also if the dept. specifically says there is no need. I would confirm with the admission dept. just to be safe!

There is an option in common app where you can say 'going to take in AP' and you can even put in the month when you will take it. May is definitely late, so it might only count for a college credit.
