I dont get it why everyone says she underrated? I mean seriously. She was really famous back then. I remember when her song complicated went so famous everybody wants to copy her style at that time. Shes not underrated. Its just shes getting older so she started to think about future more than being artist.

Many think that Avril already lost her popularity/ fame because people expected her to do the same things she was known for- pop rock, pop punk, etc. in the past. But actually, the way I see it, she got popular because she was being true to her music, feelings, and self. She doesn’t have to follow the trends to please people, not even seeking attention for any kind of publicity get famous. Not only FAME define a great artist, it’s about loving your craft and being true to your music, that’s who Avril is. And only true fans understand her for that.

Avril is underrated as a vocalist.. She can hit those high notes and switch tempos within a song and make it seem effortless.

Avril Lavigne is an amazing singer, I think she is underrated, I was sad when she had Lyme disease, but she is releasing a new album this year! I love Avril Lavigne and I always will.

Why do people say she is underrated? She had her time in her generation no one who doesn't know Avril Lavigne. i only have few artist i want to hear live and diffidently she is one of them. She can just wear t-shirt/Jeans and sing but still it will be worth my money. It's just new generation have different taste in music now just like our parents generation we cant expect them to love the kind of music we like. It's a fact that she is a living legend and no one can argue to that even if they are not her fan and not in her generation.

I've seen her twice. She's so good and charismatic. Her voice matured and she switched her style a bit (and let's remember she's not the 15 year old punk anymore) and I still think she sounds like the rebel punk with the most unique voice who dominated my CD Walkman for over a decade.

i remember how much i loved her. i use to dress like her with ripped jeans, white top and a black tie over it. I had her two albums released back them and listened to it till it couldn’t play no more. I had her posters on my bedroom’s walls and knew all the lyrics. I also use to fall asleep listening to her music and also when i was feeling stressed or down. i loved the stories in the lyrics and I was bullied in school I felt like I could be myself by being a bit more punk and edgy with my clothes. Funny how now i work in a suit and tie in a very formal job but the 13yo me and the 30yo me still loves her. Her songs brings me GREAT teen vibes and memories.
