wtf????? its not about security, its about get more identiffied with the song... you really think the bands change the lyrics for insecurity? seriously?? how old are you?? 13 years?? and you cant change the lyrics on this song except if you sing about a girl who punk and skate and a boy who do ballet and its so unusual that profiles of teenage boys and girls so practicly anybody will get identified, the song will sounds weird to the 99% of the listeners i really cant understand how you get 116 likes... really all that people dont know why they like the music? dont know how important are the feelings on music? its sad...

@@rvmusic2599 I mean, bands do in fact switch gender pronouns in cover songs A LOT when context doesn't necessitate it. We've never done it. If it's particularly noticeable here, it really just speaks to the overwhelming heteronormativity of the original lyrics. But I forgive 2001 Avril, she is fabulous and we love her.
