*This was my first **Bestt.Digital** projector and I’ve always wanted one, glad this is the one i chose. I was scared about how the quality would look, but its pretty clear*

Purchased this projector based on your breakdown and I’m totally stoked! I’ve never owned a projector so it is all new to me. My small theater space is roughly 20’x20’ and I’m going with a 135’ Stewart screen. My build out won’t be completed for another 6 weeks so I’ve not yet fired the Epson on screen yet but I’m really excited to experience Dolby Atmos movies with my Epson/Stewart/Denon/Klipsch system! Thank you for your insights!

I bought the Epson from Gramophone in DC area. I’ve since installed it and have watched movies and baseball. The picture quality is outstanding! While this is my first ever projector I am extremely happy with how easy it was to install and get performingZ

Was told that the 6050 has been discontinued and replaced with this unit. Have you heard anything about that? Thanks for the video. It was very informative.

I seen this projector and it really holds up v. the Sony. It has a lot of good features and it does process HDR 10+ which the Sony does not. Its also more flexible in placement and has motorized lens. Still would like to see a native 4k projector from Epson.

Thanks for the revoew but i am noticing an annoying trend with all the home theater reviewers. You all have those car priced jvc projectors in your systems now so realistic projectors for the average home theater enthusiasts has definitely had an influece in the way moderately priced projectors are reviewed. I am happy that you guys have the best of the best (a little jealous)but its starting to spill into your reviews of attainable items. Not an attack, just an observation. Hope the you tube home theater community takes this as constructive critisism. Thanks

I was thinking the same thing. It's going to be hard to see them compare a JVC to this. Those fan boys will say something about oh but the color is not so rich and detailed like the JVC. I bet if you put all the JVC fan boys, in a room to do a blind test without them seeing which projector is running. They would probably walk out or pass on that test 😅

@@ultimateone624 Two years ago I was going to drop the cash for a very expensive 4k JVC and ended up buying an Epson 5050ub with a custom made screen and paint. I saw both at the store and my Epson looks ALMOST as good. Yes the JVC looks better (sharper) but that's it. Sometimes the dimishing returns is insane after a price point. This happens especially with headphones/speakers too.

Worth upgrading to this from 6050UB ? Probably gonna wait until the laser tech gets more advanced or maybe just cheaepr, seems like projectors are not going down in prices like at all.

Every time I look at a laser projector, the colors seem so cold compared to my older Epson 3700. They just seem to favor blue and green so much that it takes the life out of the picture. Maybe I'd be better off with something like the 3800 if upgrading to 4k? I worry about the vibration from my sound system eventually burning out the lamp though, which is why I was interested in Laser.
@nebtheweb8885
@nebtheweb8885 2 жыл бұрын
I've noticed that blue green tint also, and cannot determine if it is real, or caused by the camera being used to record it. It may not be present in person. The vibration is negligible as long as the projector isn't like on top of a giant subwoofer. The biggest enemy for bulbs burning out is heat and restricted airflow around the projector or filter being clogged.
@Maxxarcade
@Maxxarcade 2 жыл бұрын
@@nebtheweb8885 My projector is ceiling mounted on the opposite side of the room (about 15ft from the subs). I was concerned about the vibration because I've seen the picture bounce/blur by several inches during some louder scenes.

Definitely looks bright. Maybe too bright. I see a bit of blooming in the Color spectrum. Motion artifacts as well. But you’re right at that price point looks like a good option. I’m looking forward to hearing some reviews on the new jvc np5 projector. Great review as always Home theatre dude.

I wouldn’t ever judge picture quality too seriously when it’s a video of the device. It has to be seen in person.

This projector gets the job done pretty well. kzfaq.infoUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

I got more out of a LS12000 review where the guy didn’t speak the same language as me, than I did out of this one. This guy is such a joke. I use to watch his videos back when he just rambled from inside his living room. I don’t know who he’s sleeping with over at AVS, but he’s definitely not qualified to be doing this. Out of all the people Epson could send this to, why the hell did they chose this guy? Not one mention of black levels, or how it stacked up against the 5050ub or other projectors in its price range. The only good thing this guy has done, is bring Scott Wilkinson back on the scene. Maybe if he’s around Scott enough he’ll learn something from him.

@badpuppy3
@badpuppy3 2 жыл бұрын
What does it matter what the resolution of the chip is as long as it puts the resolution on the screen? 4K Chips would have pixel density so dense, you’d need so much more light to shine through them, which would mean more heat and energy consumption, which would mean bigger, heavier case and louder fans.
@nebtheweb8885
@nebtheweb8885 2 жыл бұрын
@@paulrevere1479 Actually it is easy to see the difference in person. One will have the screendoor effect and the other will not, BUT only if you get near the screen.

@@badpuppy3 Actually pixel shifting causes more heat than something that does not pixel shift.
