I was sitting a 30-day vipassana course with Goenka and experienced an Awakening. In that moment there was no James, no thought, no past, no present, no future. Only the moment. Consciousness and energy, Consciousness as energy, an "energetic presence", and experiencing that EVERYTHING is this energetic, luminous Presence. It's an experience of experiencing as the Whole. I am not simply experiencing the WHOLE, I am the WHOLE, it is experiencing itself through me, through my existence. In a way, the power of that experience dims a bit, but the WISDOM does not. Once you KNOW the truth you cannot pretend you do not know. That experience of TRUTH whittles down the conventional options to how we think and behave in this world, it whittles down the usual ways of avoiding suffering, all the usual tricks are off the table, no more drinking, no more drugs, or drama, or denial, or blame, or suicide, or depression. Now you are faced with the choice, the opportunity to "be with life as it is", not how you want it to be or think it should be, but "How It Is". Being Awake is not an escape from suffering, it is being with it, as it is, as it is..............

It's not possible for an individual to awaken because there isn't an individual to be found. Emptiness awakens. Consciousness awakens. Awareness awakens. The best part is that nothing is lost. Not one bit. It's pure beauty 😍 ✨️ 💕 Namaste 🙏 ♥️

What about desires and preferences, does that dissapear or is lost?

@@elmeme88 no. Desire, ill will, and reactivity remain after the first awakening. They have to be worked through. It's shadow work, and seeing who or what is here needs to react or need anything at all. Easier said than done. This is one of the hardest parts of the pathless path. It's what leads to non dual realization.

@@elmeme88 One will continue to have preferences, so it seems. At least up until the no self shift. I can not speak on that as I am still working on reactivity and non dual realization. Realization of no separation and no agency/ doer. It's so hard to speak on this, lol. It's come from ego no matter how you go about it when spoke of the I. But we have to communicate as that is all we have. Hope this helps

Dearest Adyashanti, I am so grateful and appreciative of you and what you have brought forth for consciousness to be understood. I’ve been having this vision( because I am visually oriented) of just what you described, the Universe, ( God) awakening through us. I am an acupuncturist and mainly utilize Microsystems in practice. This has been the under pinning of my view on the individual’s life … the micro reflects the macro and visa versa. Thank you for putting words to it in terms on consciousness awakening. Thank you for all you do ….. your gifts have changed my life more significantly than I could express! 🙏🌹🙏

I never really got into idle chat and small talk I enjoy my own company since childhood my twin brother allways seeked company. When I listened to the so called grown ups I couldn't understand why they talked all the time I thought they were mad . My mom thought that there was something wrong with me. And reading buddhism theosophy and nonduality for thirty years it finally dawned on me they are mad blind to their true nature they roam through life like hungry ghosts

Thank you, Adya. You have no idea how much you have helped me on my path. I always stumbled upon a video of yours explaining exactly what I was going through at that time. I had an experience (yes, I know it was just an experience 😀) where everything, everything changed to Love. The trees, the air between the trees, the steering wheel, the people, everything. I saw all of us were continuously communicating with the deepest Love on this level, no matter what we appeared to be doing within our roles. Every single one of us was there, but as spirit, not bodies. No exception. The only difference was that some were aware of this loving communication going on in every moment, whilst for others a veil covered it. When I hear the Masters say when one awakens we see that all are awakened, this seems to be in line with what I experienced.

Just a thought... The Spirit of True Humility is "The Truth, The Way and The Life."It can not be anything else but what it is. It has a mind and heart of its own. Its compassion and understanding bring comfort, healing, and encouragement to all those who surrender to its will. As I grew older and became aware of "The Spirit of Deception," which rules this world, it was liberating when I began aware of the freedom just to be.

That god is inconscious is not so strange idea. It apears in Hegel, Aurobindo and contemporary filosofer Ken Wilber. The kosmic consciousness sometimes forget of itself, and involves to pure unconscious matter, big bang, and then begin to evolve expresing itself throught all kinds of living creatures, slowly recovering self consciousness. Trought it’s evolution it has come to the mind structure present in mankind, and begun to develop hier structures as in aweken ones. Evolution continues and awekening Will be more and more common, someday (if we don’t destroy the life on the planet) it Will be the average level of consciousness. Greetings from Uruguay 🙏

whatever you do; dont go back to old habits, otherwise you will get stuck in them and not be able to function normal i have been in agonizing soul-pain for almost 2 years; bed-ridden.....excruciating pain; i long to die everyday!!!!!!!!

Appreciate you adya but having a paywall for the rest of your teachings shuts out about 90% of your audience who may find them useful but live in this time of struggle. 10$ for each hour of lecture is asking each person about 1-2Grand for your library, without knowing what will be useful for them it's hard to justify buying any of them. You should hold a monthly subscription on your site that opens up all your teachings

@randylayhey - thank you for your feedback. I recognize, and appreciate, your compassionate consideration for wanting Adyashanti’s teachings to reach as many people as possible. Your views are very much in alignment with the mission statement of Open Gate Sangha. There is already a program on Adya's website (it's called The Stream) which gives subscribers access to almost our entire library of audio recordings for $15/month. Hopefully, you can understand that there are unseen expenses involved in the re-production of these older videos (staffing, equipment, software, etc.). Yes, it isn't a right or left issue. This unconsciousness is a human issue. However...have you ever seen such an unconscious U.S. administration as this one? Yes, all of them are unconscious, but, THIS level of unconsciousness? What about, having the world at the edge of a nuclear war? Have you seen anything like it before?

🙏 WOW.... This "Free falling" certainly is doing you good!! I believe G-d does remain (unconscious) ? ..I would say NEUTRAL... until ; through Prayer .. Meditation ... crying out...even doing something hurtful , We can and do " Trip a wire that is connected to G-D CONSCIOUS.⚜️ Like an unruly child.. who gains Dad's or Mom's attention by acting out. 🐦 I'll always believe we have a connection with The Lord if we are persistently knocking on Heaven's door 🚪🎶 Also, when One awakens to a previously un-circulated truth , And realizes it,.. like Buddha said ; ... it's just a matter of time (which is an illusion) , until everyone else is a Awake to that connection to the source. 🙏🌈🪶👺 Love you🐦
